Dear Diary:
My kidnapper just gave me this diary and told me to write my feelings and thoughts now. He kidnapped me a year ago. In San Diego. I was spending a surf day with my best friend Lily, when he did it. He kidnapped Lily too, but she died for cancer some months ago. We were surfing because she wanted to do it before dying. I miss her, she was soo beautiful. And amazing. I will ask him to bring me photos of my family, to put them here and look at them everytime I miss them.
I miss my dad, my mom and my little brother and sister. Jack and Taylor. The twins. With just 12 years old. I cant imagine how bad they were when they reported that I was missing. Taylor is my little girl, and Jack is just Jack. They are starting to act like teenagers. They are 13 for sure, already at high school.
This year would have been my senior year at high school. Im still 17, turning 18 on February 13th. I dont know what day its today, thats why I dont put the date here. I know it passed a year since I got kidnapped, because he told me.
He goes out a lot, and you will think: Why you dont escape from him? Well, I cant. Lily and I tried once, when I think It only passed 3 days. He caught us, and told us that if we do it again, he will kill our families. And he said my siblings names and Lily siblings names. So that means that he knew us.
I want to go home, and have again my normal life. I thought he would rape us, but he never did. And he doesnt. He just bring food and water, and check if we are ok. I think he fakes he has a normal life. Im in a room with the windows closed and covered by black sheets. I have a lamp and a little desk. And a bed of course.
Well, thats me. Im Elisabeth Cannon and I was kidnapped with my best friend by a man called John. It passed a year already and Im alone now, since Lily died some months ago.
