Effie's destiny
Prologue
"Let her go," the young man shouted.
"Get lost Payne, I can take care of myself!" spat the girl who was no longer trying to free herself from a man who had a tight grip on her.
"Only because I taught you everything you know."
"As lovely and heartbreaking this little conversation is I don't have time for that Payne so go fuck yourself and leave us alone" a man replied.
"Not without her..." Liam said.
"Just go... I'm sure you don't want her to suffer the same destiny as your lost girlfriend".
"Fuck off!! It's between you and me, let Effie go and get rid of your handymen too" said Liam his fists clenched with rage.
"Fine. Everybody out and let the girl go," the man finally said not without annoyance in his voice.
Everybody went out and the man who was holding Effie finally let her go but not without letting her get a last glance at Liam as he was closing the door leaving him alone with his enemy. The young girl was caught by strong arms that belonged to Harry. Immediately she tried to free herself wanting to go back inside but he was too strong for her and she just had to let it go.
"He will be alright Ef," said Harry softly in her ears still holding her.
Inside the room Liam was facing his archenemy, the man who had ruined his life years ago and all of a sudden he took a gun from the inside pocket of his leather jacket.
"It's time for you to pay for everything you have caused," said the young man pointing his weapon at the other man who was smirking, not scared at all.
"She screamed your name until the end you know, She wasn't as feisty as your new one though. Too bad you don't get to do her again..." replied the man still smirking getting closer to Liam as he was speaking.
Outside Effie was still in Harry's arms but she was no longer struggling to free herself. She had accepted her defeat but she couldn't help but think it was too quiet on the other side of the door.
When suddenly a gunshot. Then silence.
