You Promised
Zayn's POV
I knew something bad was going to happen as soon as Abrial was taken. Caden isn't good news, he likes to think of himself highly. He can be very commanding, sometimes too commanding. He has never hit a girl though, not since his last serious relationship. I remember it, we used to be best friends, he told me what happened. He cried on my shoulder the night it happened. He was so torn up after that, never the same since.
I was sitting in the waiting room with the lads, waiting to hear about Abrial. She seemed in really bad condition. I could hear the soft sobs of Darren as his girlfriend held him in her small arms. Abrial's parents couldn't make it, but Darren promised to update them as soon as possible. Just as the doctor came in Caden showed up. He looked scared and furious. The doctor looked to us as Darren stepped forward with red eyes and a runny nose. He gazed at the doctor waiting for an answer, hopefully a good one.
Caden's POV
I hope she's okay, what did she get herself into? I hope she doesn't end up like Lyric. Oh I miss her, I know she's up there waiting for me somewhere. I rush to the hospital and just as I walk in the doctor comes in. Abrial's brother steps forward looking depressed.I hear the doctor say something to Darren, this makes him break down into more sobs. I walk over to the doctor to see if I can go see Abrial, thank God he says yes and that she's awake. Ignoring everyone's protest I walked down the hall to her room. I looked back before stepping in to see the guys holding Louis back. I looked back to the door before walking in.
There my Abrial is sitting on the bed looking at the ceiling with tears in her eyes. I walk over to her side and grab her hand and kiss it. I get down on my knees and grab her hand with both of mine. I rest my head on her arm. She starts to rub my head and the moment is ruined when everybody bursts in and starts shouting. I look up alarmed at all the shouting.
Abrial's POV
After I woke up from my blank never ending fantasy, Caden walked into my room. He got down on his knees and grab my hand with both of his and rested his head on my arm, crying into it. Yep! Definitely feels like I'm with Kyle again. I rub his head hoping he is like Kyle and will calm down. Before I even calm him down, everybody crowds into the room, yelling all kinds of protests. I notice Caden's head pop up from my arm and he looked shocked at all the yells. I was getting a serious headache. Darren noticed and told everyone to shut up.
Everyone was quiet and intently watching Caden and I. Darren speaks first.
"Abrial, you gotta come home. We're taking this sick bastard to jail!" He points to Caden, but his eyes never leave mine. I look at Caden who is looking at me with eyes full of anger. I know I have to do this now. I wish I didn't.
"I love him." That one sentence breaks everybody. Zayn is the first to say something.
"This sick fuck has brainwashed you Abrial, or whoever you are. The Abrial I knew would never fall for any sick person's tricks." He looked really angry. Niall was next to speak up.
"The cunt has brainwashed you, I don't even know who you are anymore!" He, not once, looked me in the eyes. Liam spoke after him.
"Abrial, I know you, don't let this spawn of Satan get to you." He looks sincerely into my eyes before stepping back. Harry doesn't say anything, he just shakes his head. Louis hesitates, but finally says something.
"Look Abrial, I don't know what has happened, but I hope you choose to come home. I'm not going to sit back and watch you be with this piece of trash drug addict." I felt Caden's grip on my hand become tighter."I know you well enough to see through your lies,you don't love him. It's all an act. I-I-I love you Abrial." He says with confidence."Please come home." Those words break me, but I can't. Darren gets some courage and speaks.
"Abrial, you broke the promise, and look where you're at. I am so disappointed in you. You let him get in here." He pointed to his skull." And mess everything up. I have no more to say. You need help. Do you know what the doctor said?" I shook my head."He said that they pumped so many drugs out of your stomach; that if you had taken one more pill, even half a pill, you would have been dead. Does it look like I want to wake up in the middle of the night to find my sister dead? How do you think mom and dad would react? Mom would be heartbroken and depressed. Dad would be torn to pieces, finding out about his baby girl's death while he's halfway across the country." He is in tears and so is everyone else. " Think about what you're doing here. If you're going with him, don't even consider me family anymore." I looked between him, the boys, and Caden. Caden gave me the look. I looked back at the boys and Darren and Ava.
"I'm so sorry guys, I love him." Darren sighed and walked out, everyone else followed. Louis was the last one out. Before he made it completely out the door, he turned to say something.
"You're gonna regret this one day." He walked out right after that. I just sat there, wishing I had died. Wishing that the doctors could have saved me the misery and pronounced my death. Wishing I had taken more pills to completely off myself. Why me?
