Harry’s P.O.V.
An ear piercing screech jolts me awake causing me to shoot up and hit my forehead but the huge adrenaline rush makes me brush it off. Who’s screaming? It sounds like a girl is. Comet. I look over to the ground and comet is in the middle of the floor clutching her hands to her chest, eyes screwed shut shivering and shaking like crazy. Fear over take her features and for the first time since I’ve met her she’s scared, vulnerable and she’s not wearing her glasses.
“Comet” Liam shouts as he jumps off his bunk and I do the same. Not caring if she hit me or slapped me I wrap my arms around her shaking body.
“comet, comet please wake up” I yell over her screams and shouts I shake her and slap her cheeks hoping to stop her night terror.
“No no please please don’t hurt me please. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to do it daddy I’m sorry” she whispers the last part. A tear manages to slip from her closed eyes and roll down her cheeks.
“Please please wake up comet.” I violently shake her and her eyes shoot open. I can’t see her eye’s due to the dimly lit room. She buries her face into my bare chest and sobs so I clutch her tightly. Tears stream down her face and onto my chest but I don’t care she’s in pain right now and I’m here to help her. I don’t know how but I will.
“What happened” Louis asked looking concerned along with Niall and Zayn. Liam is right next to me with his hand on my shoulder.
“I don’t know Louis. I don’t know” Liam said looking at comet with a sympathetic look. Something she probably wouldn’t like.
“Please don’t leave me, please don’t go.” she says as I drop my hands from her back. I look down at her and find her looking back at me. But I’m still unable to make out the color of her eyes.
“Don’t worry I will never leave you” I say and her lips curl up into a smile but it quickly fades from her features. And until now I have never seen her smile as if she’s not allowed or something. she never smiles, I wonder why she doesn’t; I wonder what happened in her life that affected her so much it gave her night terrors, I wonder why she’s the way she is now. Who is the real Comet Johnson cause I sure as hell know it’s not the cold hearted Goth girl that wears glasses. She’s much more than that. you can tell she’s been through hell and back. She’s a lost angel that lost her path on her way somewhere just hoping and praying to get back on track and go to where she wants too but I think that she thinks it’s too late to get back on track so she just gave up. She gave up hope and she is the way she is because of that.
We’re still on the ground and she’s half asleep still holding onto me never letting go.
“hey can you help me put her on the couch so she can sleep.” I ask looking up at the guys and they nod. They hop off the bunks and help me lift her up and set her down on the couch. This is probably the only time that she’s gonna let us touch her or even come this close to her.
“no don’t go stay with me. At least until I go to sleep please.” She whispers and grabs my wrist in her hand and tugs on my arm. .she shifts her gaze from me to the boys.
“please stay” I sigh and reluctantly nod sitting down next to her. The boys followed and sat down Niall sat down next to her and Zayn, Louis and Liam sit down across from us. Waiting for her to drift off the sleep and the surprisingly she never let go of my wrist. In fact she tighten her grip on my wrist at times probably making sure I was still here. I don’t know how and I don’t know why but she didn’t let go of my wrist and that caused sparks of hope to ignite in my stomach. Maybe there was hope for her. Or maybe there wasn’t any left. But hopefully there is hope for her.
