New Sister
Dead end?
We were in my apartment, waiting for some news. I sat on the couch, with my knees pulled up. I wish I was there, but the police didn’t allow us to be there. We were all starring at Louis’ phone, waiting for Jay to call with news about the raid of the apartment. After what feels like eternity, but what is really just around 45 minutes, the screen of Louis’ phone lights up and it reads ‘mom’. I jump up and answer it before he could. “Hello?” “Hello Harry…” Jay says, surprised to hear me. I could tell that she’d been crying. “They didn’t find her.” My heart missed a beat and I am suddenly freezing. “What do you mean? He is there, he had to be…”I started to ramble and Louis took the phone from me. “Mom?” He was quiet for a long time. “But no idea where they are now?” In my head, I am completely going mad. They were there, but the police was too late. I buried my face in my lap and cried uncontrollably.
I went up to my room and locked the door. I hit the wall out of frustration, but the only result is that my hand hurts. Why? When I met her, my biggest worry was that Louis would kill me if he found out about how I felt, now it was whether or not she was still alive. After some time I calmed down. I needed some fresh air. I just hoped nobody would bother me, but of course, my wishes were ignored. But, luckily, they weren’t bunches of hysterical girls, but just a few younger girls, around ten years old. They were really sweet, but nothing could really lighten my mood. My phone beeped. It was a message of Liam.
> Where are you?
< Near Jubilee Park
> You need to get to Oxford Street, NOW. Liz is spotted there
< omw
My jaw dropped. Was it really possible? After a few minutes, I got a cab. I swear, those twenty minutes there, were the longest of my life.
