New Sister
And when you get the chance, you run like hell
I didn’t really want to get up. That would just mean another day of loneliness. I had a vague idea what Tyson was up to when he was gone, but I honestly didn’t care. As long as he wasn’t here, it was fine. “Come on babe, wake up,” Tyson whispered. I moaned. I didn’t want to get up. My whole body hurt. “Come on.” “Laat me slapen.”Tyson chuckled and stole my blankets. “Hey!” Immediately, I sat up and damn, it was cold in here. Could have to do with the fact that I wasn’t wearing any clothes. Shivering, I pulled my legs up and wrapped my arms around them. Tyson pulled me out of bed. And this time, he didn’t wait for me while I was showering, he joined me. Despite the warm water, I still shivered. I let my mind drift. What would’ve happened if I’d stayed in Doncaster? Well, I probably would’ve killed Melissa. When I thought about everything back there and compared it to my situation now, well… I decided my life there wasn’t so bad. I got dressed and after we had breakfast, I laid on the couch, assuming Tyson would leave any minute now. But instead, he pulled me up. “What?” I asked confused. “Marcus wants to meet you. And I figured you might want to get out for a change.” You don’t hear me complain. More chance to escape him out there, than locked away in this apartment. Tyson gave me a jacket and damn, it was nice and warm. I wanted to a marry this thing. He pulled the hoodie up. “You are beautiful.” Despite the fact that I didn’t want to hear it from him, I blushed.
Tyson had the whole time we were outside his arm tightly wrapped around my waist. But still, the fresh air was amazing. Suddenly his phone rang and something I never saw coming happened: he let me go. I didn’t understand the conversation, but I could tell it was serious. He didn’t look at me anymore. I carefully took a step back. And another one. And he didn’t notice, hell he half turned away. I turned around and started to run. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t look where I was going, my only goal was to get as far away from Tyson as possible.
