New Sister
Decisions
Louis was making a hell lot of calls while I just sat there, frozen. Louis came back after quite a while. He looked upset, stressed and worried. I was pretty certain that I had the exact same expression, for different reasons though. Davina got up an sat next to me. She didn’t say anything, but I could feel she was hiding something. Great. I wanted to ask her about what it was, when Louis came back. “Did you call the lads?” I asked. He nodded. “What do we do now?” I shrugged. What could we do? “Are we going back or...” I thought for a moment. Because if we’d go back, I’d break my own heart and I’d definitely be filled with worries. Which would kill me. But if we’d stay here or if we went back to England, we’d break the hearts of thousands of people that have a ticket for the last shows. When I thought about it that way, it wasn’t a difficult decision. “We go back. Tomorrow.” Four simple words and it took everything I had to pronounce them. Louis frowned. “Sure?”
I saw Davina entering her room, so I followed her. “Davy, is there something you’re not telling us?” I asked straight forward. “Nothing.” She bit her lip. “Please tell me. Is it about Liz?” She hesitated, but nodded. “Please, she might be in great danger.” “She is not.” “What?” I grabbed her shoulder. She backed off, obviously surprised and slightly scared by my reaction. She swallowed. “Okay, I am not sure, but he is nowhere to be found and really obsessed with her, so I’d assume that, even though it is crazy, because…” she rattled. “Davy, your point is?” “I think, again, not sure, the Tyson took her.” “Who is that?” “Her ex. She broke up with him a few weeks before her father died. And he didn’t take it very well. And since she moved, he’s been stalking her.” My jaw dropped. So that’s what’s been haunting Liz. Literally.
