New Sister
Concert at Sea
The first thing I did when we got to the Brouwersdam, was dragging Mila and Davina towards the main stage. It was around five and cøver at sea would start within half an hour. And we got up front. The half hour passed by rather quickly and my mouth dropped when Pascal introduced the first singer, the lead singer of the handsome poets. Seriously, even for this was just… weird, I guess.
“Where are you going?” Mila asked when I got up. We sat on the dyke with a perfect view on the main stage where miss Montreal was performing, but I had a different plan. “I am going to the Umoja stage, Rigby will perform in ten minutes.” I looked up to the sky. It was drizzling and I felt like a racoon. Davina, Liam and Harry got up as well. Great. Miraculously, they hadn’t been stalked that often today. Guess not many visitors are directioners. Still, it was not my problem. It was easier than I expected to cross grounds. And I just pushed my way through the crowd until I was front row. I smiled. I was talking to Davina while random people where preparing the last things for the performance. I jumped up as the intro of the first song started. Davina and I received a weird look from both Liam and Harry as we started to sing as freaking loud as possible. I was so going to lose my voice. During one song, I nearly got a heart attack. Christon (a/n lead singer) randomly climbed of the stage and stood right in front of us. When he’d finished the song (with an addition I’d never heard before, but loved), he turned around and looked up to the stage. “How am I going to get back up there?” he said. Well, with some effort he got back up. “Look ladies. It takes some effort, but then you have something.” He turned around and showed a water stain on his butt. (a/n he really did this. The view wasn’t that bad ;))
When we joined the rest again, even my sweater was soaked. “I think we should leave,” Mila said. I shrugged. I’d survived two years ago as well, when the weather was three times as bad. “You can go, I want to see Kane.” I fell on the ground, laid down and closed my eyes. James Morrison is okay, but I was still enjoying Rigby. In the end, Mila, Niall, Zayn and Liam decided to go back. Davina and I wanted to see Kane, Louis was pretending to be my brother again and I have no freaking clue why Harry stayed. Plus point: the rain made his hair funny. Right after James Morrison was done, we went to the main stage. In the meanwhile I wondered how weird this was for Louis and Harry. They were used to be up there, in front of a crowd, now they were part of a crowd. Well, a great experience I suppose. In the meanwhile, the rain got worse and worse and worse and I was soaked. “You’re sure you want to stay?” Louis asked. “Yes, but you can leave if you want to.”
And I didn’t regret it. Kane was amazing. And of course he sang the best song you can sing in such a situation: Rain down on me.
