My Love Apocalypse

Chapter 39

Madi P.O.V.

I woke up with a crook in my neck. It really hurt. I don't know why, it's not like this hasn't happened before.

I went downstairs to check on Carla. She isn't in her bedroom. I got kind of nervous. What if something happened to Carla?

I went back upstairs and peeked in Alyssa and Zayn's room. There Carla was sleeping in the middle them. It was actually quite adorable.

I went back downstairs to grab myself some yogurt. I noticed something, I've been getting up a little early in the morning.

I ate my yogurt and went upstairs. I opened my bedroom door to Niall still sleeping. I quietly closed the door and crawled into the bed. I guess Niall was awake because I heard him mumble something. "What?" I asked.

"I'm glad you came back." He said with a grin on his face, but still kept his eyes closed.

I smiled. "I'm gonna go take a shower." I got off the bed and stripped out of my clothes still not comfortable about my body.

The room was surprisingly really cold. Niall literally was buried in blankets. I grabbed a towel and went into the bathroom.

I turned on the hot water and let myself in. The water was a little hot so I turned it down to the perfect temperature.

I got my hair wet and put a little shampoo and conditioner in it. We can't use that much because we don't want to run out. We are going to have to get some more some time, but we got plenty. We have about 3 more bottles of shampoo and conditioner each in the cabinet.

I got out and got dressed into some sweat pants and sweat shirt. I heard some doors open and Niall got up. I got out of the bedroom with Niall following me. We went downstairs to see Alyssa, and Louis. "Good Morning." I said. They both waved and sighed. I chuckled and went into the kitchen. "So, Carla came in slept with you guys huh." I said. She nodded and opened the fridge.

I got a glass of water and went into Carla's bedroom, admiring the beauty. The room was actually pretty nice. I looked around the room and I even found some clothes for Carla to wear and not some of my clothes. They were little girl clothes and their were about 7 little dresses, 19 shirts, 22 pants and 6 pairs of shoes. There were also some costumes for Carla to wear when she wanted to play dress up.

Zayn came holding Carla like an airplane. It was funny. When Zayn put her down I tickled her belly with her squealing like a pig. I noticed her odor and took her in the bathroom upstairs.

I got her undressed and took her into the bath tub. She played with Barbie dolls while the hot water was running. I let her play with them a little bit more. She gave the dolls to me when she knew it was time to wash her hair. I poured some shampoo in her hair and began washing it. Doing the same with conditioner.

I took a bucket and filled it with water. I poured it over her head and let the soap
fall of her head making bubbles in the water. I got some water on me, but I didn't mind.

"So, Carla how did you survive through the apocalypse?" I asked.

"I well..um..It's sort of hard to explain." She said.

"It's ok, take your time." I said. She thought for a moment of how to explain it and finally came up with a way to tell the story.

"My grandparents lived in Rochester, so I knew where to go. Not exactly, but I knew which street. When I finally found the right house I walked in, but my grandparents weren't there. It was almost as if they knew I was coming and left. I felt hollow, I felt empty. No one to protect me." Tears were falling down my cheeks. "I grabbed some food and left the house. I've been living in that car ever since. When you found me I was so happy I thought that I would have a knew home, a knew life, and it happened. Here I am in a beautiful house with One Direction." She said excitedly. Tears were falling down to the ground, but these were tears of joy.

"But there is someone missing. Isn't Liam?" She asked. I looked up shocked. I totally forgot about Liam. I didn't answer her question.

I wrapped a towel around her and carried her downstairs. She was very light.

I took her into her bedroom and got her into he clothes and they fitted perfectly. Thank God!
