My Love Apocalypse
Chapter 17
Alyssa's P.O.V.
As we were running with our bags and weapons, we saw a sign saying "Rochester in 1 mile."
We ran even faster, knowing we were almost gone from Grimmyville. I looked back and saw zombies but they were like black dots in the distance.
After about 20 minutes, we were in Rochester. There were very few people there, some were scattering away and some were trying to build boards around their houses for protection.
We headed to an abandoned house and walked inside. This house was extremely large, it wasn't like a mansion but it was pretty big. Once again, Zayn and I picked a large room, one with flowers in it and the walls were beige.
"Let's set our bags over here babe." I said to Zayn while pointing at a corner of the room.
"Ok." He replied as we placed them carefully down.
When we went back downstairs, we saw the lads with Madi outside collecting wood to board up the windows. I told Zayn "Why don't you go help the boys. Tell Madi to come in, I wanna tell her something."
Zayn nodded, kissed my nose lightly and exited the house.
Minutes later, a sweating Madi entered the house. "Madi, why don't you go take a shower, then we can make some dinner for the boys."
She smiled happily and ran upstairs. I took out a few boxes of noodles from a cupboard and some marinara sauce. I also grabbed a few bowls and set them on the table. I grabbed a pot and began to boil some hot water in it.
Right before I put the noodles, Madi came downstairs dressed in a t-shirt and some shorts. Her hair was still wet and she came next to me. I let her set the noodles in as I started to begin making some sauce.
When the food was ready altogether, we made a plate for everybody. I walked out the door and yelled "Boys, come on, dinner is ready." I felt like a mother calling for her children. I grinned as Zayn ran up to me, with sweat dripping down his beautiful face, his stylish hair was messy, and he had dirt all over his hands.
He tried to kiss me but I pushed him away with a chuckle. "Go wash off then I'll give you a kiss." Zayn must've really wanted that kiss because he practically ran to the sink to wash off his face and hands.
When he was done, I went over to him and kissed him passionately. Everyone sat down and ate in about 10 minutes, everybody was starving from work and we hadn't eaten in a few days.
By now, the clock by the T.V. read 9:45 P.M. "I'm going to bed guys! Night." I shouted.
"Good night Alyssa." Everybody said in sync. I entered my room and got covered under the blankets. It was really cold outside and I began to shiver. I heard footsteps walking towards me and I whipped my head to make out a tall figure in the dark.
"Hi baby." Zayn said. I smiled, knowing that he wouldn't see me.
"Come snuggle, I'm so cold." I begged. I felt the bed shift as Zayn's arms snaked around my waist.
His chest was pressed to my chest and I kissed his temple. "Zayn, I love you." I whispered into his ear. As I did so, I kissed his earlobe and pulled away.
"I love you too baby." Zayn whispered back a little louder. He cupped my face in his hands and kissed my lips gingerly.
The kiss didn't last long because I slowly drifted off to sleep wrapped in Zayn's grip. He was so warm and loving, I could lay in his arms all day. Every time he touched me, I felt a spark going off. His touch was so comfortable and I was glad I had found him.
