Madi P.O.V

All done for college for the day. My cousin and I were walking to my house to see my parents.

My mom was cooking dinner when we got there, she was making chicken. I knew she was because I could smell it from outside. I knocked on the door. My mom saw my face and let us in.

"Hi honey." she welcomed me.

"Hi mom." I replied.

"Hi Aunt Nicole." My cousin Alyssa said.

She waved and invited us to sit down on the couch. My dad was watching the NEWS. "Hey dad" I said.

"Hey sweetie, come look at this." He exclaimed pointing to the TV. I looked at the TV the news reporter said that there was a zombie apocalypse. They brought in a guy that said that he said he saw something limping and eating flesh from a cat.

"Eww that's disgusting!" My cousin blurted out.

"Don't worry" I said. "He's probably just a lunatic."

"But we should try to be safe tonight." My dad said.

I asked my parents if we could sleep here tonight. She said that was fine as long as we don't make a lot of noise because my dad just got out of surgery, and he has a bad headache. I said OK and we went to sleep.

~The Next Day~

I was woken up by my mom screaming. I ran downstairs. "MOM!" I yelled. She had her arm ripped of a zombie standing next to her.
