COLEN’S P.O.V.

Sammy gave me a smug smile as she left later. I kept my head down. She won. I guess I’ll start calling him Liam again. He’s not Alex anymore. He’s still so gullible, sweet and… he stands up for the people he loves.

Rachel is nowhere to be found. I opened the door to Liam’s room. He’s asleep peacefully. I sat on the chair beside his bed and watched him. I remember his face so well. The curve of his lips, the arch in his eyebrows, everything I’ve lost is lying here infront of me.

His guitar sat beside his bed. I picked it up and remembered that valentine’s day. I smiled. Liam had wrote a song for me that day and sang it infront of the whole school. It was a beautiful song. Obviously I was so embarrassed I ran away in the middle of it, but he was so nice he didn’t mind. He even sent me the lyrics later.

I played the chords as the lyrics floated back. I sang quietly,

LIAM’S P.O.V.

I’m walking on a pink fluffy cloud. I think I died and now I’m in heaven. Pink flowers are falling down from the sky. I caught one in my hand but it dissolved like it’s made of water.

If Im louder, would you see me?

I hear a voice singing. It’s a soft and beautiful voice.

When you leave its gone again,

“Are you an angel?” I called out, no answer.

And when I see you on the street,
In his arms, I get weak,
My body fails, Im on my knees,

I feel myself being sucked through a tunnel. Suddenly, I’m in a room and I see myself.

I see myself writing the song, a cup of hot chocolate sat beside me, untouched. I smiled at my masterpiece.

Ive never had the words to say,

I stared into space, imagining her beautiful lips pushing onto mine.
