COLEN'S P.O.V.

I stared at him, was he playing a game?

“Wow,” I heard Rachel say.

His head was all bandaged up in white strips of long cloth. His hand is all bandaged up as well and there was tubes connecting from his arms.

I suppressed a smile, “haha very funny Alll…iam.”

He just stared at me, confused.

I start to panic. “That’s not funny Liam…”

“Why are you talking to me?” He frowned, “and who are all of you people?”

My mouth fell open. He was not kidding.

“I-I’m Colen,” my voice cracks a bit, “and she’s your mother…”

“Oh,” he frowned emotionlessly at me.

Rachel frowned, “Listen, jerk. You do not save Cole-”

I quickly cupped my hand over her mouth as I jerked my head towards Karen, hinting that she doesn’t know anything about this.

“Don’t you remember anything that happened? Anything at all?” I asked quietly, on the edge of tears while letting go of Rachel.

He frowned and shook his head.

I slumped down next to Karen and swallowed back my tears. Crying is not important right now. I need him to remember me.

Karen suddenly said, “I’ve tried everything I could think of. Making his favorite food, showing him his photo albums, but he didn’t think anything of them.” She cried.

“You shouldn’t exert yourself like this,” I said giving her a hug, “I’ll take care of this, you can go home and rest.”

Alex stared at us.

“Are you sure?” She asked.

I nodded and smiled reassuringly.

“Thanks child,” She smiled and left.

“Why’d you do that?” Asked Rachel.

“I will bring back his memories,” I said confidently, suppressing the doubt in my heart, “I will.”
