With my best friend here Im finally brave enough to remember what really happened that day
Liam was with me at the dance. I remembered everything so clearly like it just happened yesterday.
He was so happy, his cheeks were red and his big grin.
He asked me to dance, I remember and that’s when it happened.
Sam knocked him down and starts beating him up. Saying “did you think she really liked you?”
And then I laughed… and I said “I’m sorry but you’re just not good enough.”
Yes I said that.
It had all been fun and games until you realized you had hurt someone. My laughter disappeared when he stood up. His nose was bloody and his glasses had been broken. But what touched me the most were his eyes. They were full of hatred staring into mine.
“Just you wait and see.” With that he was gone.
“I can’t believe I did that,” I said quietly as I snapped back into reality.
My phone suddenly rang. Rachel raised her eyebrows as if to say, “answer it!”
I picked up my phone and Karen’s cries filled my ears.
“Come quick to the hospital,” she sobbed.
“What’s wrong?” I quickly asked.
She was crying so I couldn’t make out what she was saying.
“I’ll be right there,” I said.
Rachel asked if she could come and I said yes. We quickly hopped in the car and drove to the hospital.
As I rushed into Alex’s room, I see Karen crying beside him.
“Karen what’s wron-“ I was cut off by Alex. He was awake and looking at me. I felt so happy. “Al- Liam! I’m so glad you’re ok!” I said.
He stared at me for a second and frowned in confusion. “Who are you?” He asked.
