Deceit

What now? What the hell does this mean? Is this some sort of practical joke? But who actually cares that I've had sex with someone other than my boyfriend enough to sent me threats? So many thoughts running through my mind when I hear Harry coming downstairs. I quickly shoved the envelope behind a cushion and sat back on the sofa.
"So are we ready for titanic?" Harry beams
"Uh...sure"
"What's wrong? You were practically begging to watch it second ago" Concern stretched over Harry's face.
"Nothing, I just feel kinda sick"
"What kind of sick, what do you need?"
"Nothing, it's fine I just..." I don't know what to tell him "I just...I don't think we should do this anymore"
"What?"
"This...Us. I think we should stop" I feel a lump form in my throat, it makes it hard to breathe without my heart feeling like it's about to burst.
"What? Why?" I could see the pain in his eyes and it killed me with every word that breached my lips because I knew it was killing him too but I had to end it here. For Harry. For Jake.
"Because of Jake"
"That dick?! You're choosing him over me?" Harrys face was red with rage "HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND OR HAVE YOU COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT? ANSWER ME PIPPA" I could see tears threatening to pour from his eyes. My heart ached.
"No, I haven't" The lump in my throat still burning.
"HE TRIED TO RAPE YOU AND YOU STILL RUN BACK TO HIM."
"IT'S NOT HIS FAULT" I snapped. Tears racing down my cheeks. I was doing this for him can't he see?
"Ofcourse." Harry sat on the sofa with his head in his hands. "You can't make excuses for him, Pippa"
"I'm not but it's not his fault, okay?"
"Who's fault is it then?"
I paused.
"I can't do this, Harry! Trust me, it's for the best."
"How is this for the best?!"
I got off the sofa and began to run upstairs. I always do this, when things get shitty I run. I run and I hide.
"Pippa. What's this?" I turn around to see Harry pulling the envelope out from behind the cushion I had been sitting on.
"Uh...bills I guess" I could feel the blood running to my face.
"Since when did bills come in an A4 brown paper envelope?"
"Since now"
"Pip, are you lying?"
"Harry, don't" He started to open the envelope and I studied his face as he took in the information before him. I went to grab it out of his hands but he moved out of the way.
"Is this...is this why you tried to end us?"
"...Yeah"
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"I don't want you to get hurt."
"I swear when I find whoever this is I will sma-"
"Harry, please."
"Don't ever keep something like this from me again. I promise you nothing will happen leave it to me. Okay?"
"Okay." Harry pulled me into an embrace, the warmth of his skin heating my heart to the brim. I felt safe.
"We can't let this person stop us." At that moment his phone buzzed. Harry checked it. Chuckling to himself. I couldn't help but think how beautiful and sweet this boy before me was and how amazing it was that one second he could be so angry and loud and the next he could be this caring little child with a heart of gold.
"I just got a text from my mate Niall, he wants to know if I can come round to his later with all the boys."
"What's so funny about that?"
"He said I can bring the hot girl from Lilliput if she brings food" Harry smirked making me blush.
"What hot girl would that be?"
"I think Niall was pretty drunk that night, the girl wasn't that hot" He gave me a sneaky look and so I punched him.
"Oh you're on" I laughed and he began tickling me, making me squirm.
"STOP STOP!!" I couldn't stop laughing and I was on my back, writhing about when suddenly Harry stopped.
"What?" I became very concerned.
"Don't ever scare me like that again"
"What did I do?"
"If you try break up with me again I'll lock you in a cupboard" he laughed "You're too perfect"
"Shut up, you're so cheesy"
"Ouch" and with that he kissed me. And I forgot all my problems again.
