What The Future Holds
Chapter 5
*Liam's POV*
I can not believe what just happened. Me and Greta never get in fights. I mean NEVER. I said all the wrong things! I LIKE GRETA! But I told her that I would never like her like that. I am an idiot. But this all goes back to Niall. If he never asked her that question, none of this would have happened. Niall better watch out, because if I see him, he will be beaten to the ground.
*Madi's POV*
"Greta!!" I continued to scream. It is 11 o'clock, pouring rain and we can't find Greta. Liam is honestly to dumbest human being ever. How could he never like Greta? How could he never tell that she liked him? Why did he have to be such a poop head?? I guess he doesn't know how much he hurt her over the years, and that he just topped it off tonight. I don't think that the two of them will ever be friends after this. I mean, this is HUGE! Talk about D-R-A-M-A. Louis and Harry came running to me. "Any luck?" I asked. "No. Is there anywhere she would go?" I stood there thinking. Bingo. "Duh! Why didn't I think of this sooner! Go get Liam and meet me at Aunt Sally's Fast Food." They looked at each other. "Just do it!" I screamed. They immediately got in the car to get Liam. I ran as fast as I could to Aunt Sally's. Aunt Sally's was a fast food restaurant that Me, Greta and Liam would always go to. There wouldn't be any other place that she would go to.
*Liam's POV*
As I sat staring at the Toy Story blanket I gave Greta, It made me think of all the memories we had. I can not believe that I couldn't see that she liked me. I am the dumbest person alive. Next thing I know, Louis and Harry come running in the room. "Liam! Come with us! Madi knows where Greta is and she wanted us to come and get you." I was in shock. "Alright let's go!" I stood up. Niall came in. "Can I come along?" he asked. "Haven't you done enough?" I said with am angry tone. He turned around and left.
Once we got to Aunt Sally's, I saw Greta sitting at a table with Madi sobbing. My heart sank. I can not believe that I did this to her. She thinks that I would never like her the way she wanted me to. But really, I have always liked her. What am I saying?? I don't like Greta... I love her.
*Niall's POV*
Liam hates me. I understand why. I mean I let me jealousy get in the way of their friendship and mine. I am an idiot! I can not believe I let myself do that. Now Liam is never going to talk to me again and Greta will never like me. Well I guess my life is practically over. I lost one of my best friends and the girl of my dreams. How can I move on?
*Liam's POV*
I walked through the doors of Aunt Sally's and sat across from Greta and Madi. She didn't even look at me. I could feel the tension in the air. "I'll let you two talk." Madi said getting up and sitting with Louis and Harry. "Greta?" I whispered. " She looked up at me letting a tear roll down her face. "Look, what I said back there isn't true-" "Isn't true?! The way you said it made it pretty clear that it was true." She cut me off. "I know. What I said was just instinct. Thats not what my heart says." She looked me straight in the eyes. "What is your heart telling you?" I didn't say anything at first. "...It is saying, that.. I-I love you."
