What The Future Holds
Chapter 1
*Greta's POV*
I could feel my heart racing as I waited for them to come and call my number. I looked over at Madi, my best friend, and I could tell she was freaking out. If we nail this audition, we get to go on Tour with One Direction! Okay.. I am going a little too fast. Let me explain a little.
I am Greta Christensen, 19 years old and I love to dance. Dance is my life. My best friends are Madi Graham and Liam Payne. We met each other on the first day of kindergarden, later learning that we are all next door neighbors. Every single day we would walk home together and play. That was until Liam went to audition on the X Factor. After he came home to tell me and Madi that he was going to be in a band, we knew that we weren't going to see him a lot.
Two years later Liam came home and ask me and Madi if we wanted to go on tour with him and the band for their second tour. Of course we said yes! But after his manager found out about it, he immediately told us that no one was allowed on tour unless they were performing. That's when we thought of being their back up dancers! Liam went to his manager and told him that they should have auditions for two back up dancers. His manager completely agreed and said that he would inform the public. So that is where we are now...
The people we are auditioning for are 3 dance majors and the 5 band members. Liam told everyone that he knew two of the girls that were auditioning. But he wouldn't say which two. That way it would be a little bit more fair. A moment later a lady came out in a black suit holding a clipboard. "Number 16." she read. I let out a deep breathe. That was me. I walked in the room wearing a black tank top with tight black leggings and my jazz shoes. I stood on the X in the center of the room with everyone watching me. "Alright. State your name, age, experience and why you are auditioning." The same lady spoke. I smiled. " I am Greta Christensen and 19 years old. I have danced for as long as I can remember. I believe I started in kindergarden. I would love to dance on this tour because being able to dance around the world seems like a life changing experience. I'm not here just so I will become famous. I am here so I can improve on my dance skills and have a new challenge." They looked at me in shock. I really hope that was a good thing. The lady coughed. "Okay. Well miss Greta, you will show us the 2 counts of eight that you were taught this morning, and then you will have improv to one of the bands songs. The song will be your choice. I smiled. "Thank you." I glanced at Liam and he gave me a big smile.
The music started and as did I. I am dancing to this as if I learned it weeks ago. I just feel great. At then end of the 2 counts of eights, I knew that I had to decide which song to dance to. I was either going to go with 'I Would' or "Little Things'. I decided to go with 'I Would'. Next thing I know I am bowing and out of the room.
Madi was next. "You'll do great. Don't worry. Just be you." I whispered into her ear as she walked into the room. Fifteen minutes later Madi was done. "Well?" I asked."I think it went well." We were the last two to audition.
We were staying in the same hotel room as Liam and the boys. But it wasn't like any other hotel. It was more of a house. Only certain people were allowed to stay here and we were in charge of making our own food and keeping it clean.
Well I didn't know that the boys were there yet. So I was just in my dance spankies and a tank top. I went down to the kitchen to make myself a milkshake. I was going to make one for Madi, but after the audition she just crashed on her bed.
As I was making my milkshake, I was listening to my playlist. Next thing I now, I am dancing all around the kitchen.
*Niall's POV*
I was so done with all the screaming fans chasing after us after a long day of watching girls audition to be our back up dancers. We all walked into the little hotel with joy. "Who wants to get something to eat from the kitchen?" I asked. All four boys came with me. As we walked in the kitchen, we all saw this girl just dancing around.. while making a milkshake. Where have I seen this girl before? I feel like I have seen her before! "Check out that beaut." I heard Harry call.
*Greta's POV*
After my milkshake as finished, I put it in a glass and turned around. I couldn't believe what I saw. All five boys from One Direction staring at me. I was embarrassed at first, but then I thought, eh who cares. So I walked past them and said, "Hey there." and continued to walk to my room. I unlocked my room and ran right over to Madi and woke her up.
*Niall's POV*
Of course! She was one of the girls that auditioned to be our back up dancer. Man was she beautiful. I must meet her. "Well.. I think it is necessary that we meet everyone staying at the hotel. Don't you all agree?" Harry exclaimed. We all nodded in agreement. I was very excited to actually meet this girl.
*Greta's POV*
"MADI" I screamed. "WHAAAATT?! I am trying to sleep!" "Fine. I won't tell you who I just saw." I smirked at her. "Tell me. NOW" I giggled. "Liam is here! With Zayn, Harry, NIALL... and LOUIS!" Her jaw dropped. "I'm serious! They watched me dance in the kitchen as I made my milkshake!" We both started laughing. That was until we were cut off with a knock at the door.
