Michelle's Pov: Veronica and I are actually becoming good friends. She's really nice, not what I expected at all. Wow, who knew my judgement could be so wrong. I don't know what she did to Kelsey, but who cares? I mean, I hate Kelsey! Maybe I could learn a thing or two from Veronica. She invited me, Harry, Louis, Niall, Zayn, Liam, Eleanor, and Perrie out to this restaurant. Harry seemed distant. I really didn't want him there so I didn't care. The less he talked the happier I am. Doesn't he know how cruel it is to just ask a girl out then go home and cheat on her? The sight of him makes me sick. Laura should've learned from when he went out with Kelsey that he was no good. The meeting was kind of boring, though. The guys, well Louis, Niall, Zayn, and Liam, kept talking about people I didn't know. Of course Veronica kept talking about how perfect she is. She's nice and all, but she's a little full of herself. We all order food, and eventually everybody but Harry and I left. We sat there for a few moments in silence before I got up to leave. "Wait." Harry said. I turn around. "What do you want?" "How come you and Laura haven't been hanging out lately? She's okay, right?" "I don't know. I think she got hit in the head to hard or something, she'd rather hang out with Kelsey than me. Not like you would care or anything." I turned around and took a step towards the door. "I do care." I heard him say. I turned back around. "Yeah? I'm sure you care a lot. That's why you ditched her to go hang out with Veronica. Am I right? Personally, I think Veronica's too good for you. Like how I think Laura is too good for you. Every girl is too good for you, ya know? Just... go away." "I-I didn't mean to." He said. "Mean to what? Let me guess, it was an accident that you said Veronica was your girlfriend, even though it was actually Laura." "Yes." "I'm not stupid, Harry. You can't just blurt it out for no reason, oh there had to be a reason." "I know it sounds stupid, but it seriously was an accident. Yeah, I ditched Laura to hang out with Veronica, but that didn't mean I loved Veronica." "Just go away. I'm not stupid." I walk out of the restaurant, leaving Harry there alone.

Laura's Pov: This is the second day Kelsey has been over at my house. She left last night and came back in the morning. Early in the morning. We just sit there thinking of a way to get revenge. Of course, we can't. I don't know if it's because there's some tension between us, or we're just horrible of coming out with plans. Possibly a little of both. It is kind of awkward between us. I mean Kelsey has been my bully since like as early as I can remember. I don't know what I did to her. "Kelsey, why do you pick on me?" I ask. "Because I do." "No, the real reason. There has to be something about me you don't like. But what? What have I ever done to you?" "Fine. I'll tell you. You remind me a lot of myself. See, Veronica always bullied me through school so I felt powerless. You remind me of me, so naturally I'll bully you to make me feel more in power, more in control, understand?" "I guess. So if you're so good at bullying why can't you think of anything to do with Veronica?" "Because Veronica isn't just another girl. She's the girl who ruined me." "How are you ruined? You're smart, pretty, and popular." "You think so?" "Everybody thinks so. But you don't have a good personality." The thought just hit me. Kelsey and I are... are bonding! Where is this going? Could we end up friends? Wow, never thought this day would come. I wonder what Kelsey's thinking about... this. I'm not sure I'm okay with the thought of Kelsey and I becoming friends.

Harry's Pov: I'm sitting in the restaurant still. Just alone at the table. The guy already cleaned everything up and is just waiting for me to leave so more people can sit here, but he's gonna have to wait a little longer. I just can't stop thinking about what Michelle said, how could I just by accident say Veronica was my girlfriend? What happened to me in that moment? I think I was just kind of out of it because Veronica was around, and no one can deny the fact that she's kinda hot. I wouldn't blame Laura if she never wants to see me again. I am not happy with Veronica. She's not the kind of girl I want to be around. All she ever talks about is herself. Where did she even come from? She just kinda showed up. She's older than Laura and Kelsey, so I know she doesn't go to their school. Maybe she'll leave and everything can go back to normal. I doubt that though. She seems to like it here. I decide to finally leave. You know what? I'm gonna go to Laura's house and see if she'll take me back. I miss her so much. I'm gonna be a man and actually ask her out myself. No more using her friends to see if she likes me. I get up and walk out of the restaurant.

Michelle's Pov: Veronica may be self centered, but she did have a horrible childhood. I can't believe her dad used to beat her, then her mom committed suicide? I'd be devastated! I buy her a card saying "Stay Strong. You'll be something great one day. See your troubles as inspiration to do wonders." and I walk over to her house and knock on the door. Her mom answers. Even though she's legally an adult, I guess she still stays with her parents. Forster parents, I suppose. "Hello, who are you?" Her mom asks. "My name is Michelle, is Veronica home?" "No, she's not." "Oh, well when she does can you give this card to her." "Sure, I can do that." I hand her the card. "You're a wonderful person." I tell her. "Me? Why?" "Taking in Veronica like that. Knowing what she's been through. I admire you." "Taking in Veronica? What do you mean? She's my daughter." "It's okay, I know the real story. Veronica told me everything. Like how her dad used to beat her and her mom. How her mom committed suicide. How the abuse didn't stop until a neighbor walked in and saw it happening." "What the hell are you talking about? Are you sure you have the right house? Nothing like that ever happened to any of us. I am Veronica's real mom. Her real dad is at work. I'm not a foster parent." "But Veronica said-" "Oh, I'm gonna have a talk with Veronica when she comes home. Here, take this back. Sorry about her story but she can be crazy sometimes." Her mom closes the door. It was a lie? I rip up the card into tiny bits and throw it on the ground. She lied to me! Wow, I am so stupid! I actually believed the story! But now I know the truth.
