Protect You, Protect Me

First Day of My Life

“Oh Gray, you look hot,” Louis told her as she walked into the main area of the church. They had about twenty minutes to go before the big ceremony started. It took Gray twenty minutes to get into that damn dress. It was super comfortable to wear, but whoever thought of a convertible dress needed to be shot.

“Thanks Mr. Tomlinson, I must say the suit looks great on you.” All of the guys were dressed up. You could see their personalities shining through easily. Harry had black pants and a crisp light blue button down, with the collar undone. Louis and Niall both went for black suits with different colored shirts underneath. Zayn had on his trademark all black and Liam matched the rest of the groomsmen in their black suit and navy blue shirts. He made Gray’s blood pressure spike, but she kept that to herself.

“You all ready for the fun? What are you two going to do,” she asked Louis and Niall, the only two not involved in a wedding job.

“Flirt with Gloria,” Louis said calmly. The rest of the guys laughed at him.

“Oh Lou, you are disgusting!” She laughed hitting him in the arm. The rest of them laughed too, even Liam. Gray looked over to him, giving a smile up. Liam blushed. Oh boy, she is going to get herself in trouble.

“Well I’m going to go calm down Mila, she’s probably either crying or cursing right now, see you all later.” Gray walked away, shaking out her hands. It felt like both of them got electrocuted. She needed to stop staring at him so much. She walked down the hallway were Mila and the rest of the bridal party was.

“Gray, can you zip me up,” she asked. Her wedding dress was covering her front while Mila tried to reach the zipper. Gray quickly walked over and zipped her up. Her breath stopping looking at Mila in the mirror. She was beautiful. Weeks after their monumental dress fitting, Mila went and bought the exact same dress, but in a silver and white tone instead of gold. That was the Mila Gray knew. Gray thought it was beyond nuts, but Mila wanted her day to be amazing. She never did have much family around. Her dad never existed and her mom gave her up to the foster system when she was 10. Ever since they became friends, Gray had been all she had.

"I'm surprised you are so quiet right now," Gray cried.

"When you know you know," Mila whispered, wiping her own tears.

“Mila, you are going to make him cry like a baby. I cannot wait to see it all happen,” Gray gushed to her. Mila continued to stare at herself in the mirror and dapped her eyes with a Kleenex.

“Thanks girl. I still cannot believe it’s me. I always thought you would mean to me the altar, and I am not trying to make you sad. It’s just hard for me to imagine. Did I ever tell you about how me and Curtis met, for the first time?” Gray shook her head no. They had kept their relationship pretty quiet in those first few months.

“Come sit, we have a bit of time. Besides, they can’t start without me.” Gray followed her over to the small table and chairs being careful that she didn’t smash her dress too much.

“It was the second day when I went to see you, remember when you were hurt?” Gray nodded, she loved Liam so much for bringing Mila out there.

Flashback
Mila stood off to the side of the building, trying to catch up on the book she read. She had a hard time believing everything that went down with Gray. Her body looked like someone hit her with a club, yet Gray continued to go on with her happy go lucky self. Mila knew it had a lot to do with Liam though. There was something about the two of them; it was like the stars aligned when they were around. She was deep in her book when she heard them coming. Neither of them ever seem to have the ability to be quiet when they were outside.

“Liam, you put my ass down,” Gray shouted at him. Liam had Gray thrown over his shoulder and her crutches in the other hand. She was hitting him on the butt and laughing at the same time but Liam refused to listen. He just continued to walk by pretending he didn’t hear her.

“Jailbait you put me down or I’m am pantsing you,” she warned. Gray got both hands into his pants, even while being upside down. Liam stopped and gently set her body back on the ground. Mila stayed quiet, she didn’t want the couple to know she was watching them.

“You wouldn’t dare,” he laughed to her. Their faces were inches apart.

“I do love a man in his boxers,” Gray laughed. Liam bended in to kiss her, but at the last second, Gray backed up and pulled her crutches out his hand.

“In your dreams Jailbait,” she yelled, trying to move as fast as possible with them. Mila was pretty impressed, Gray had speed. Liam went chasing after her. Mila watched them until the circled around the corner of the building and out of her sight. She sighed, going back to her book.

“They are something else, aren’t they,” a voice asked her, causing her to look up again. Whoa. Who was this man? Gray had never seen him before. He was older, but very cute and attractive.

“Something else would be a good way to describe them,” Mila laughed.

“I’m Curtis by the way. Are you Mila, Gray’s friend?” Mila reached out to shake his hand.
“That would be me. Should I be worried you already know my name,” Mila flirted with him causing Curtis to blush.

“Oh no, don’t be worried. Gray told me a lot about you, but you are different then I imagined,” he told her.

“How?”

“Much, much more prettier.” Mila blushed again, who was this guy? Sure, she has had men flirt with her before, but not in such an innocent way like he did. They both turned their heads to see Gray getting a piggy back ride from Liam as they turned the corner. She looked absolutely crazy and somewhat uncomfortable with having her leg stretched due to the brace.

“You know they are soul mates,” Curtis told her. Mila looked away and back at him. Her heart started to flutter, there was something about Curtis that she wanted to know more about.

“I think it’s possible we could be like that one day,” he whispered. Mila turned her head to look at him again, making sure she heard him right.

“Are you asking me out on a date Curtis,” she asked.

“I am.”

“Whoa,” Gray whispered out. She didn’t know what to day. Gray remembered them running around the parking lot too, but never knew they were watching them. She wondered how often that happened.

“Yeah. Pretty sure that was a sweet moment for both of us,” Mila told her, grabbing her hand.

“Ladies, shake a leg,” someone yelled outside their door.

“Listen, I know you plan on walking away completely tonight, but just honestly think about it okay? I know you won’t find anyone else like him. Or you just won’t even try. Don’t be stupid Gray, or stubborn. Just go with it,” Mila told her. Gray had tears in her eyes. She didn’t say anything else, but just shook her head in agreement.

“Good, now let’s go turn me into a married woman!”

----

They lined up outside the chapel doors, ready to celebrate a marriage.

“Gray, you are looking as amazing as ever,” Steve said, charming her.

“Back at you, so very dapper. I didn’t know they made suits that big.” Steve flicked her off, making her laugh.

“Alright shut it you two,” Mila playfully warned. The doors opening, revealing them all to the crowd in the pew. Gray felt nervous, she prayed to God she didn’t fall. Mila’s cousin Tonja and her other cousin Troy led the pack, followed by Liam and another family member, and then it was Steve and Gray’s turn.

“Don’t let me fall,” she whispered before they started. At the same time, the piano started and she heard Harry and Zayn began to sing. Zayn led it off first. Gray smiled, she knew the song well.

I don't get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here

Steve started moving down the aisle causing Gray to follow. They reached the first set of pews quickly, and Gray looked out to see Liam staring back at her. Her eyes locked with his. The overwhelming effect of her feelings toward him came back. She couldn’t look away.

And where was I before the day
That I first saw your lovely face?
Now I see it everyday
And I know

Gray and Steve reached the end of the aisle and split up to take their own respective sides. Gray stood next to the others but her eyes couldn’t leave Liam’s. Between the emotional day, his face and the song she couldn’t stop. The rest of the guests stood, as Mila stood in the doorway, ready to walk. Harry and Zayn sang the rest together while she walked down the aisle.

I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you
Next door there’s an old man who lived to his nineties
And one day passed away in his sleep
And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days
And passed away
I’m sorry, I know that’s a strange way to tell you that I know we belong
That I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

Mila reached Curtis right as the song ended. Her eyes were filled with happy tears already. Gray was right too, Curtis was already crying. Mila was a vision. She handed her bouquet Gray and turned to face Curtis.

“Friends and family, we are here to celebrate the love and happiness of Amelia Jane and Curtis Howard. They have chosen you all to be here and to enjoy their love. Mila told me she wanted a quick ceremony so the fun could began, so I am following her orders.” The congregation laughed.

“Mila, do you take Curtis to be your husband? To spend your life with, to love with you cannot love anymore, to share happy times and to hold him when sadness hits? Do you promise to be honest with him, through thick thin? Will you love him with all your heart?” Gray watched them, but at the same time out of the corner of her eye she looked at Liam too. He stared back at her, giving her a small smirk.

“I do,” Mila said, with tears coming down her face.

“Curtis, do you take Mila to be your husband? To spend your life with, to love with you cannot love anymore, to share happy times and to hold him when sadness hits? Do you promise to be honest with him, through thick thin? Will you love him with all your heart?”

“I do.” He took the rings from Steve and handed his to Mila. She slid it up his finger, kissing it before letting go of his hand. Curtis did the same with hers. They locked hands again, both looking happier than ever.

“You two turn around and face the group.” They did was they were told.

“By the state of Illinois, welcome Mr. and Mrs. Paulson! Kiss that bride!” Curtis grabbed Mila in his arms, giving her a dramatic dip and kissed her in front over everything. The whole room erupted in cheers. The happy couple walked down the aisle and into the foyer while the rest of the couples followed.

The wedding party was the only ones there, the guests haven't came out yet. Gray took a breath, she wanted to speak to Liam quick before everyone came and made a scene. She started walking over to him and Steve.
"Gray Gray Gray!" Grace came rushing toward her. Damn her. Gray looked up to see Steve and Liam walking away from the group. Gray felt crushed, that was a perfect time to open that door with him and her cute yet annoying sister had to ruin it. Gray sighed and turned her attention to her sister.

"Yes baby."

"I'm hungry." Gray rolled her eyes. Possibly the biggest moment of her life was stopped by her sister.

"Come on, we can go raid the room here. I know there is food."

----

After finding food for Grace and taking a thousand pictures, it was finally time to go back to the hotel and have their reception. Gray was feeling pretty good right now, she was happy for her best friend, and the beer wasn't bad either. Niall had her laughing the whole way there. She could still feel Liam though. She knew without looking that he was two seats behind her. She only wondered if he was looking at her though.

"Niall?"

"Yes my pet," he gave her a huge phony grin making her laugh.

"What happens if I don't get back together with him," Gray asked quietly. She really needed advice right now, and from someone who wouldn't push her.

"Not sure Gray. I don't think it would be good for you both though. It would be a lot of sadness for a long time. I'm not sure either of you will find someone like each other again. He's your everything Gray, I know that. You too are very similar though, I don't think you see it. Both of you are incredibly stubborn, God it can be annoying. You both wear your heart on your sleeve, but also have a huge bubble around yourselves. You refuse to let anyone get close to you. Liam kinda stalked you, did you know that? Your twitter, Facebook, all of it. I think he actually talked with your mom a couple of times too." Damn that Gloria.

"What happens if I get do?" She asked again. Gray was pretty sure she knew that answer but wanted to hear it from someone else.

"You know the answer Gray. Happiness. I don't think he would let you go again though. I know you want to Gray, what's holding you back so much?" She stayed quiet for a moment. It was hard to have such a serious conversation with all the happiness around.

"There's a job, a really good job. In Milwaukee." Gray looked at her hands.

"So? There are jobs everywhere Gray," he told her. He made a good point, jobs could come and go.

"I know."

"I think you are just scared, honest. I love you, but I don't want you to do something stupid. Just think about it okay?" Niall reached over giving her a hug.

"Thanks Niall."

"Quite welcome. Now are we there yet? I'm hungry!"

----

"Ladies and Gentleman, our maid of honor has some words to say," the DJ announced quieting the room. Gray got up from her table and walked over. She faced the audience still wondering how this would turn out. She stayed up for the last past two nights trying to write the perfect speech.

"Hi all, I'm Gray, but pretty sure most of you know me. I meet Mila years ago when we worked at the same school. I was the teaching assistant when she came in. The first thing I remembered about her was thinking she had balls. Big ones. She actually slapped me on the butt when we first meet and told me to kick ass." The group laughed, making Gray feel a bit better.

"I like to think it was me who got Curtis together, but it was really Liam. You all know Liam? He's that guy over there pretending like I didn't say his name. He brought Mila to me when I was having a very hard time. I don't think any of us knew the attraction they felt since they kept their relationship pretty secretive. Mila actually told me about the first time they met right before she walked down the aisle today. She saw a couple in their own little world that day. Apparently they couldn't see her as they flirted with each other. Curtis came up to her and said that he could she him and Mila being soulmates like the couple they watched. I don't about you all, but I would marry a guy if he told me that too. Once I found out they were together, I couldn't be happier. Mila is my sister and all I want for her is the best in the world. That's definitely Curtis. He is the perfect yin to her yang. Or Mila's favorite saying, the 'mac to her cheese'. They are the best people in the world and I couldn't be happier for you all. I should tell Curtis that if he hurts Mila I'll kill him, but I should be telling this to Mila instead. So Mila, BE NICE!." The guests laughed again. Gray raised her glasses, allowing them to follow suit.

"Congratulations to the very happy couple, Curtis and Mila." Cheers and applause went around while Gray walked back to her table. Mila mouthed 'thank you' to her causing Gray to wink back.

"I'm going to guess that couple was you," Gloria said she sat back down. Gray smiled her, of course she was right.

"You are a good girl sweetie," Gloria smiled at her. Gray took another drink of her wine, she was staying as strong as she could.

"As it is customary, the bride and groom will now share their first dance." Mila and Curtis took their spot on the floor while Gray bent down to take off her shoes. Her duty was done, now it was time to bust loose.

"When I look into you eyes." She froze. Liam. Liam was singing. Her hands started to shake. It was a surprise to her, and went she looked around the room, everyone else seemed to feel the same way. Gray kept looking until she him. His eyes stared right at her while he continued to sing along. Gray couldn't look away, it felt like they were the only ones in the room. Every line of the song tore into her heart, she could barely breathe.

"I won't give up on us. Even if the skies get rough. I'm giving you all my love, I'm still looking up." Liam finished the song still not looking away from her. The room applauded and he put down the microphone and walked to his place at the table with the boys. She could here them all cheering for him.

"I need another drink." Gray stood up abruptly causing the table to shake. She walked past the bar and into the bathroom. All she needed was just one minute alone and she could face them all again. Gray gripped the sink with both hands and closed her eyes. Slow deep breaths.

"You can do this Gray. You have balls. You are strong. You are not a pathetic loser who hides. Stop being a bitch." She keep the mantra going. Gray quickly cleaned up her eye makeup and headed out the door nearly knocking Mila over.

"Mila go hang out with your husband, I just had to pee," Gray said smiling. She had to lie her ass off on this one.

"You sure, you practically ran in here," Mila questioned.

"Heck yes. I had to pee and break the seal. Come on, let's get another drink and dance!"
Gray grabbed her hand and took her to the bar.

"Two Long Islands please." Gray grinned at Mila.

"Oh god, if I vomit in this dress you will die," Mila threatened.

"Just one for old times sake." She cheered her glass along her, taking a sip and headed out to dance. Gray stood out there shaking her butt and laughing her head off. It felt behind good to just dance and no worry about what she had to do later. Mila grabbed her free hands twirling each other along. They were the only ones on the dance floor but soon Grace and Gillian came out, pulling Harry and Zayn along behind him.

"Come on boys, I know you can move those hips," Gray yelled, dancing circles around the stiff boys. Little by little, they each started to get into it. Niall, Gloria, Curtis and others came to join them making the dance party even bigger. The DJ played the typical wedding songs like 'YMCA' and 'Shout' which made it more fun. At one point, every wedding guest joined the party, not a single person was sitting in their seats. Tiny beads of sweat rolled down Gray's face as she laughed and dancing with little Grace. Gray forgot about everything, it was like her brain shut down for the time being. All that mattered was dancing with the people she loved.

----

"I have to take a break," she yelled to Mila. They had been going strong for an least an hour now and Gray needed to take a breather. Thank God she took her shoes off. She threw her body at a random able and rested her head against the back of the chair. Holy crap dancing takes a lot out of you. She sat their with her eyes closed trying to regulate her breathing.

"Care to dance Miss Cameron?" Gray looked to see Louis holding his hand out. The music change to slower song.

"Of course Mr. Tomlinson, only for you," she giggled. Louis led her to the dancing floor and swirled her around into his arms.

"Let's see your moves Louis," she laughed again. Louis made a very poor attempt at doing the tango with her and dragged her body over the entire dance floor.

"Okay okay, slow on down tiger. My feet are killing me." Louis followed orders, going back to a regular shuffle in the far corner.

"How's life," he asked.

"Complicated."

"That doesn't surprise me. Things are always a bit up in the air with you. I take it you are still trying to figure out your feelings for a lovely chap that is still staring at you." Gray went to look behind her, but Louis stopped her.

"Don't you dare Gray." He murmured to her.

"I haven't decided yet, things are not quite layed out like I want them to be. Patience Mr. Tomlinson," she told him.

"Love, I have patience for nothing, you should know this by now." Gray rolled her eyes at him. He was a bit pushy sometimes.

"Are you going to talk to him," Louis asked. It was the million dollar question.

"I plan too."

"Good, because he is standing right behind you." Gray slowly turned her head to see Liam behind her, looking just as nervous as she was. Her face went white.

"You are going to die Louis," she whispered under her breath.

"Gray, may I uh.. have this dance?" Louis dropped his arms and her body, walking away before Gray even answer. Liam took her silence for a yes. He pulled her body into his and clasped their hands together. Gray's skin felt like fire. Every part of her skin stood high with goosebumps.

"Don't worry, I feel it too," he murmured to her. Gray bit her lip, she had no clue what to say. Liam slowly moved their bodies around the floor when a new song started.

"Wise men say, only fools rush in.." Gray groaned. Out of all the songs in the world.

"Good god," she moaned. Liam smirked at her.

"Did you tell them to play this," she asked.

"Nope." He stayed quiet, keeping her body glued to hers as they slowed moved from side to side.

"This is incredibly awkward," Gray whispered, trying to break the tense silence.

"Considering every person in the room is watching us, I will agree with you." Gray popped out of her two person bubble and looked. Oh my god those damn people. Her table was seated with her family, the guys and Mila and Curtis staring at them with huge grins on their faces.

"They need to get a life," Gray madly said. Liam laughed, spinning her in circles again.

"They just really like us love." Gray froze, he wasn't allowed to call her that.

"You need to find a new name for me." Liam's face went back to his stone cold glaze.

"Liam, you can't call me that, especially after the way you treated me on the phone." Gray gulped, she was pretty sure that day would always be embarrassing to her.

"I'm sorry for the way I spoke to you," he whispered.

"Apology accepted." Gray needed to bolt and get out of her. She knew she promised everyone she would talk to him but right now it was too hard. She could barely think straight around him. The song ended and Gray started to walk away. Liam quickly grabbed her elbow pulling her body back into his. She wanted to object so bad, to just walk away and call it even but she couldn't. He really was a magnet to her. Liam's face was inches from hers, they eyes locked together.

"One more, please. I picked this one out." The song started and Gray knew it immediately.
"Us against the world" by Coldplay. That song had been repeat on her IPOD when she visited Liam the last time in Australia. Liam pulled her closer, their bodies could of been one at this point. Gray went with the urge and rested her head on her chest. She could hear Liam sigh. Both of them wanted it, so badly. It felt so normal to both of them, even if they hadn't seen each other in over six months. This was home to Gray.

"Like a river to a rain drop, I lost a friend," Liam started singing in her ear, "My drunken has a Daniel in a lion's den. And tonight I know it all has begun again, so whatever you do, don't let go."

Gray's whole body shivered. The tears fell from her eyes. She just wanted to kiss him, tell him everything was okay, that she loved him with everything she could, but Gray held back. Out of fear and just because there was a part of her that knew she couldn't. Gray didn't know if they would ever be like the used to, even if she did try and be with him again. That is what scared her the most. Not knowing. She was so scared that they would be in love again, only for something else to tear them apart six months down the line. She knew another breakup would literally kill her.

The song ended, but neither of them moved. The whole room was silence waiting to see what would happen. Gloria gripped Mila's hand as they watched. This is what everyone wanted, they wanted them together, finally. Gray snapped out of her trance and looked at them all. Fear came over her face. How long had they been standing there.

"I'm.. i'm sorry," she whispered. Gray turned from him and ran through the room bypassing chairs and tables. The tears fell out of her eyes are a rapid speed, she just prayed she could get outside before the sobs started. Gray ran past her family, not even paying attention to the pained looks on their faces. She needed fresh air now. Liam still stood on the dance floor, not sure what to do.

"What in the hell," Mila groaned. This was starting to become really ridiculous. Gray needed to get over all this nervousness and just kiss him!

"I'm going to take this one," Louis announced falling the same way Gray left.

"Come on, we need to have fun, he will take care of her. Let's dance," Gloria cheered. The DJ took the bait, turning on "Staying Alive" for them all to boogie too.

Louis found her pretty quick. She was sitting on the porch adjoining to the hotel. Her back was toward her, but he could see she was crying.

"Gray," he quietly said. She whipped around showing him her tear streaked face.

"I had a feeling you would be the one out here first," she said, giving him a sad smile. Louis sat closely next to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. He let her cry it out without saying anything. They just sat in silence for a long while before Gray finally started to calm down.

"Who wants to kill me," she asked, finally sitting up and trying to wipe off her face.

"Honestly, everyone. We saw it Gray. You felt it too, didn't you?" Gray shook her head yes. How could she not? He was Liam, she was Gray. Team Gram was alive on that dance floor.

"I'm scared Louis."

"What of," he asked.

"The same shit to happen six months down the line. Someone else to hate me, or throw things at me, endanger your guys lives too. That call comes back to me. What if we break up again but there is no going back that time? What am I supposed to do? I almost felt completely healed from it all this time until I came here. I don't think I could do this again," she explained.

"Why do you always think you are two are going to end Gray? You really are going to drive yourself mad. Life never has a clear cut path. You learn and change as you go. You are going to be fighting this your whole life if you don't take a chance. Look at me Gray. I'm back with Eleanor and it was the best decision of my life. I can't imagine where I would be without her."

"Life seems to never go the way I want Louis. I'm a walking disaster, don't you see it," she cried out. It was true, everything she thought would go her way didn't. She didn't finish school for her dream job, she didn't get the man or the car or the happiness she ever wanted.

"Please Gray, my life didn't go how I wanted it to either. Sure, I'm living the life right now but that's not what I always wanted. You are just making excuses right now. Same with this apparent dream job in Milwaukee, that is all just a cover up. You are running away from it all." Gray stayed silent, he had a point there.

"Do you really think he doesn't care for you.?"

"No," she whispered," I know he does a lot." Louis laughed.

"A lot is an understatement. He would do anything for you right now, and I mean anything. Look at the way he took care of you the night of the bachelorette party, a normal guy who wanted nothing to do with you would never do that." Gray looked at him funny, she had no clue what he was talking about. Louis sighed, he knew Liam was going to kill him for this.

"He told me not to tell you but at this point I really don't care. You jumped into the seat next to him and talked, but I'm not quite sure what about, that he didn't share. But you fell asleep on his shoulder, all cuddled into his arm and holding his hand. When we got back to the hotel, he made Zayn take off his jumper and used it to cover your butt which we all saw. He carried you in Gray, and I'm not talking a normal carry. He picked up yup like a baby and wrapped your legs and arms around his body and neck. All the way to you room and tucked you in. He is still in love with you." Gray didn't know what to say. No one ever told her these things until later. It drove her nuts, but right now it calmed her.

"We need to go back in before they send someone else out, but stop thinking. I demand you to. Go with life Gray, it's a great ride you will miss out on otherwise." She said nothing else and followed back into the hotel and the banquet hall. Thankfully the party had started back up again while they were gone making it easier for her. She grabbed another drink and met them on the dance floor. Mila immediately came over to her, giving her a hug.

"Love you."

"I love you too." Gray told her honestly.

----

The party wrapped up around 11:30 at night. Everyone was feeling good after consuming all that alcohol. Mila and Curtis looked like they were ready to have their own alone time.

"Thank you all for coming," Mila shouted to the group, making them cheer. Everyone stared to make their way out and back to their rooms. Gray ignored Liam for the rest of the night, which wasn't hard to do. He gave her the space she needed.

"Gray, can you help me get Grace up," Gloria asked. Poor Grace fell asleep under a table about an hour ago. Gray kneeled down, pulling her up into her arms and followed Gloria out.

"Feeling better after your talk," she asked her quietly on the elevator. Gillian was barely functioning as she stood between them.

"Actually I do, at least I know what I need to do," Gray explained. Gloria didn't ask anything else. She was nervous to know the outcome from her stubborn child.

"I'm glad," she smiled. They walked off the elevator and into Gloria's room. Gray set Grace down on the bed, carefully removing her clothes and changing her into pajama's.

"Night pretty lady," Gray whispered, tucking her in.

"What's your plan now," Gloria whispered. Gray smiled at her.

"I have a house call to make."

Gray left the room and rode the elevator up to the seven floor. It seemed to take forever. Every single thought she had went through her head right now. The conversation with Louis, dancing with Liam, it was all clear in her mind. The elevator dinged and Gray slowly walked down the long hallway. Her palms began to twitch and sweat like crazy. This was the biggest choice of her life. She stopped at the door before knocking. Gray took two deep breaths before bringing her fist up to the door and knocking. It only took a few seconds before the door opened.

Liam stood here staring at her while only a pair of very low sweatpants on. It made her mouth go dry.

"Hi, can I come in?"

Notes

Title Credits: "First day of my life" by Bright Eyes. Also, Elvis, and "Us against the world" by Coldplay, and her wedding song of "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds, look them up.

I know, I know, you all want to kill me right now. Hopefully I can get the next chapter up Tuesday night. I'm about 80% positive there WILL be a sequel to this. After thinking for many days, I may have a story line that will work. Drama filled, semi realistic and a bunch of other things. :D
