Save Me From The Last Dance
That Was Close!
(My days passed by with the routine lifestyle. The only change proclaimed was that I carried my notebooks with me to the Treasure Chest at night. I hid them in my bag so that Melrose won’t yell at me for studying at work hours; every time my routine ended with the girls, I went back to the changing room and opened my notes to revise for my big test. Charlie knew I was studying after the dance number, so she used to guard my door all the time in case Melrose needed me. I thanked god everyday that I had her to back me off at this time of need. Lindsay would always complain in her texts about me replying late; I kept telling her that I was a bit ill and that I am studying day and night. What else can I tell my best friend? She would practically hate me for being a night dancer… Speaking of Lindsay, I slept and woke up with the thought of us meeting our sensational band in the flesh; I still was having a hard time believing that we will see them on Tuesday. On the other hand, I also had in mind different plans to convince Melrose that I won’t be able to work on that night. The fear of fighting with Melrose frightened me out, and tingled my spine with shivers. Let’s hope she’ll accept…)
*Phone Conversation*
Lindsay: “Can you believe it we are done with our first year! And on top of that, we are going to meet 1D tonight!!??!! Hahahahah oh gosh Maddie I almost forgot hun; my cousin bought a ticket identical to ours when she knew we were going, but then the crazy girl forgot that my aunt is having a baby today. I can’t think of anyone that might join us; do you have anyone in mind to give the ticket to buddy?”
Me: “Bummer! I wanted to meet your cousin! I have this indirect love to people when I know they are Directioners ..LOL! umm… I have this friend at wo- (I bit my tongue because I was this close to expose myself) Workshop that I took last summer, she is in town and I guess she will love to join us. How about it my besty?”
Lindsay: “Sounds awesome! I’ll pick you gals up at your place?”
Me: “Oh then it is a deal! Ya sure but wait Linds! Um… (I remembered Charlie and I would be at the club) how about we meet you in a taxi? Easier for you and us (I giggle to hide my nervousness). ”
Lindsay: “Oh, alright hun, but please don’t be late, we need to be there before the actual concert for the meet and greet. Be at my place at 6:00 max!”
Me: “6:00? (I thought to myself that at that hour we would be already in makeup and costume change) Alright! I promise don’t worry Linds; see ya soon sugar, love ya!”
Lindsay:” Me too buddy!”
