Prologue

I guess you could say I’m a bit of a procrastinator.

When I was younger, I used to call myself a perfectionist. That was the reason I could rarely get anything done.

"I haven’t finished it cos it needs to be perfect!" You would hear me wail on more than one occasion, “It has to be perfect."

To be honest, I knew what I was saying was bull, and so did everyone else. But I’m also a fantasist. I like to think I’m this cool as a cucumber, got it all sorted twenty something, when in actual fact I’m just a bit… well, clueless. After all of the careful thinking and thretting I do, I still end up falling head first into unhealthy situations and doing things nobody in their right mind would ever think of doing.

This is one of them.

Right now, I’m in a limousine on the way to the premiere of some Hugh Jackman film.

You may wonder why I’m making a big point of telling you this. I promise, I’m not gloating. You see, this is my job.

Okay so maybe it isn’t technically my job, but the handsome guy sitting next to me - Louis - he… well he is my job.

My name is Amelie Williams, and I am Louis Tomlinson’s girlfriend.

It is my job to make sure to keep up my end of the bargain of being the perfect girlfriend, and it is his job to make sure people know he is perfectly happy and content with me - his girlfriend.
You see, this isn’t like any normal relationship. We didn’t fall head over heels in love with each other. It wasn’t love at first sight, and we are most definitely NOT IN LOVE. Our relationship is purely one of convenience.
