Lost In The Music

Chapter Sixteen

*Harry's P.O.V*
I protectively wrapped an arm around Savannah before Louis opened the door. We were instantly blinded by the flashes of the cameras and the screams echoed in my ears. I can only imagine how it is for Sav. The reporters immediately pounced on the fact that we had a girl with us, and they surged forward.
"Harry! Who's the girl?" One shouted.
"Louis, we heard rumors that you were planning on breaking up with Eleanor! What do you have to say?" Another asked, shoving a microphone in our faces.
"Is this one of your flings?" I could feel Sav tensing up beside me, and I held her closer, if possible.
"Who are you?" A man shouted at Savannah. She didn't respond; she kept her head down, remembering our advice, and she let her long brown hair form a barrier between all the people.
"I asked, who are you?" The man growled, yanking her hair back. She yelped, and I spun around, grabbed her hand and quickly led her away from this jerk, restraining myself from punching him out.
This guy was one very lucky man. Otherwise, he'd be on the receiving end of a little boxing session from me. The fans weren't any better. They were eyeing Sav and shouting out hateful things.
"Wow, she's so ugly!"
"Just look at her clothes!"
"They can do so much better!"
"What an idiot. She actually thinks they want to be with her!" I couldn't see her reaction; her hair was falling in front of her face again.

Thankfully, we made it to my Range Rover, when and I opened the door for her, she lifted her head and smiled at me before climbing in. The fans hadn't fazed her one bit. I was proud. I slid into the driver's seat, and Louis went to the backseat. I turned on the radio and started backing out of my driveway.
"So, where're we going?" Savannah asked. I shrugged.
"Doesn't matter. We have about an hour, then the boys are coming over for dinner." She nodded, turning to glance out the window at the passing scenery. I mentally scrolled through about a dozen choices in my head, and decided on a cafe.

During the whole ride, we were asking Savannah questions about what Texas was like.
"So, do you really ride horses and talk with that accent and wear cowboy boots all the time?" Louis eagerly asked her. She rolled her eyes.
"No. That's just a stereotype. Where I'm from, Houston, it's pretty urban, and there're oil companies, which is really big there, and there're just a few cows grazing sometimes. We wear normal clothes and shoes, and some people have the Southern accent, but that's rare," she explained.
"Why is it so hot there? When we went down there for tour, all of us were sweating like pigs," Louis complained. She laughed.
"Because that's Texas. At least everyone will enjoy summer there," she said.
"She's got a point there," I said, pulling into the parking lot.

I quickly rushed over to her aide and opened the door for her, earning a smile. She got out, reading the sign as Louis clambered out of the back.
"Shining Bell, eh?" He asked, amused at my choice. I shrugged.
"It's a nice place. Plus, I bet she'll love it," I said, taking her hand and leading her inside.
All three of us walked inside, and nobody noticed two out of the three of the new customers were international superstars. Staying quiet, I let Savannah order but when she reached into her bag for her wallet, I pushed forward and took out mine. She shot me a warning look as I set the money down on the counter. Thanking the lady, I took our bag of food and we sat down at a window table. Louis scurried off to the bathroom, leaving us alone.
"You didn't have to pay," she told me as we devoured our mini cakes. I shrugged.
"True, but what if I want to?" I asked.
"Wait, don't answer that. Whenever we're together, I'm paying," I said, putting emphasis on "I'm". She sighed in defeat.
"So that means you're going to be bringing to even more places without Louis?" she teased, a smile gracing her pink lips.
"Of course," I grinned. We continued to joke back and forth when Louis finally came out.
"Oi, hello lovebirds!" he exclaimed. We both groaned, and Savannah buried her head in her hands. I chuckled; it was pretty adorable.
"The boys called and said they're ready and they're gonna be at our house in fifteen minutes," Louis informed us.
"Alright, so should I just go?" Savannah asked.
"Nonsense!" Louis exclaimed. "You're staying with us for the two weeks your mom's away. Remember?" He teased, elbowing her.
"Oh yeah. Guess there's no escape," she jokingly mumbled.
"Aw, come on! You know you wanna hang out with this guy!" He said, pointing to himself. She laughed, and I just rolled my eyes. The three of us went to the car, Louis giving Savannah the passenger seat. I began the short drive back, and all the while, the only thing that was playing through my head was the fact that she's staying with us.

Notes

I'm so sorry for the long wait :( School's started up for me in the past week, so I've been busy, plus I have volleyball practices. . .
