Chapter 3
Liam's P.O.V.

Skylar finished unpacking today. She moved in three days ago but she has enough stuff to fill a whole penthouse building so it took longer then planned.

"Honey, breakfast is ready!" I call up the stairs while I cook eggs in the kitchen.

She steps in a few seconds later in her pink P.J. pants, a white t-shirt and her wavy blonde hair in a disarray.

"Morning," she says with a yawn and walks to the fridge.

"Good morning beautiful," I say in a cheerful tone, turning around and kissing her cheek. "The guys are to work on some stuff . Oh, and Corinne called while you were at the store yesterday. She wants you to go out to lunch with her and her friends while the guys and I work on songs here."

She sits down on one if bar stoles to watch me cook. I push over to her some eggs, bacon, a large cup of coffee and her lips peel back into the smile I love.

"That would be great"

Skylar's P.O.V.

"Sky, you're gonna love this place!" Corinne shrieks and her friends follow suit. "It's an amazing bar where I met Lou," her voice is up in the straisphere now so I force a smile, silently begging her to stop.

"Sounds great," I say with all the enthusiasm I can.


Fifteen minutes later we have our watery drinks and a crappy excuse for food, so the smart talk starts.

"So, Sky," one of Corinne's heavier friends says "what have you have you and Liam been....... up to?"
Her question shakes me so much that I drop one of my soggy fries that was en route to my mouth.
"Excuse me?"
She flips her frizzy, red-orange hair over her shoulder.

"Oh come on!" Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. What have you been doing?"
"Nothing!" I say a little too loudly. I lower my voice but keep it firm. "We've only been engaged for a week. Why would we be doing anything?"
I look over at Corinne for support but she just looks bored and lights off a cigarette. She takes a swig of her beer and say;
"Guys, lay off her . She's a Christian."
She spits out the last part like her beer was just a beer was a bit too strong."
"What's that suppose to mean?" I growl over the uproar and I can start to feel my burn in anger.
Corinne recovers. Red faced and slutty as ever.

"Doll face, all I meant was that you couldn't have fun if your god sent down a lightning bolt to strike you in the ass and tell you to."
That was it. Something inside of me and I was about to blow up. Her words lit a fuse and there was no going back.
"I can't have fun?" I yell "Just because I don't throw myself at a guy every chance I get doesn't make me boring, it just doesn't make me a slut. Looks like you have that art pretty well mastered."

Corinne must have been pissed because she left with her crew trailing behind her in their 6 inch heels. A man that can't be over 23 walks over to me, looking concerned.
"Miss, can I help you?"
I get up from the chair, dust myself off and look him in the eyes.
"Can you drive me home?"
