Hate Breaks Us Apart

Harrys POV:

I had left everyone behind. I couldnt be around them. I couldnt be around things that reminded me of Riley. I left as fast as I could and didnt look back.

Still when I got up, I often wondered what they were doing and if they still remembered me. 10 monthes is a long time, but I still remember the day I left.

*******FLASHBACK**********

"TAXI!!!" I yelled, and after a few moments one screeched to a stop. I climbed in, wiping tears from my face. "Nearest airport." I ordered the driver. He warily glanced at me, contrmplating if he should see if I was ok.

When we reached the airport, I threw a $50 at him and climbed out. Sure I overpayed, but I needed out. I bought a ticket for the next flight to Florida. From there I would fly to Africa.

Yes Africa. Maybe there I could forget about everything that had happened. It would all be in the past.

After many hours of flights, I finally landed in Kenya. I didnt have any luggage. Just the clothes on my back. I headed out on foot. I kept walking until I reached a lake.

I stood on the edge looking at my reflection. Then I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small Tiffany box. Inside was the engagement ring I was going to suprise Riley with.

I took one final glance at it. Then I threw the box as hard as I could into the middel of the lake. No regrets. No turning back now. I turned slowly, and walked away.

I wiped away tears from that memory. It seemed like it was only yesterday. I wondered how everyone was doing. I hoped Amanda was healing after all she had been through.

And Macey. She was probably speaking full sentences now. Were Louis and Amanda even together anymore??? Were the boys all still friends? Was anyone even looking for him?

Those thoughts had bothered me for too long. It was time to go back and face the music. I just hoped they would forgive me.
