Why me
Louis's POV:
I watched her fall, and crash through the water. Then I remembered, she couldn't swim at all! I quickly kicked off my shoes, and ripped off my suit coat and tie. I dove off the cliff and into the freezing water.
Taking a gulp of air, I swam down and down unti I spotted her. She was sinking, flailing her arms wildly. I swam over, and wrapped my arms around her. She didnt protest, and I swam up to the surface.
She gasped for air the second we emerged, and I began swimming to shore. There was a little bit of land attached to the cliff. When I reached, I dragged the two of us up, and sprawled out, choking up water.
She lay on her back, choking and gasping. But she was alive. I had saved her. I crawled over to her an said,"are you ok?" She nodded, still choking slightly. "Thank you for saving me." She choked out. I smiled and replied," I would never let anything happen to you."
She suddenly got to her feet, and started walking away. I got up and followed her. "What the heck!" I yelled after her. "You can't do this to me!" She yelled back, still walking. I caught up, and caught her wrist turning her around. "Do what?" I asked.
She burst into tears sobbing,"hurt me and then do everything you can to try to stay near me! Dont you understand you hurt me! It hurts me to look at you! I cant do it anymore!" She then began walking towards the stairs that were a little ways away.
I followed behind her, staring at the ground. I didnt know I had hurt her so bad. When we reached the top, Riley had broken away from Harry and Zayn, and rushed to Amanda. She wrapped her in a hug.
I approached the boys, feeling tears brimming in my eyes. Niall opened his arms and hugged me. Then the other boys joined in a group hug except for Harry. Harry began approaching Riley and Amanda.
Amanda's POV:
Riley was hugging me as I cried until we heard Harry clear his throat. We pulled apart and looked at him. I wiped tears from my face. "Your a jerk Amanda! Your crushing Louis because you're a selfish jerk!" He yelled.
This caught me off guard. I couldn't believe what I was hearing from someone I used to consider my friend. Zayn starting approaching Harry saying,"maybe you shouldn't." But he was cut off. Riley had lunged forward, launching a kick into Harry's balls.
He let out a shriek, and hunched over. Riley kicked him to the ground, and began punching him. I was stunned at first, but knew someone had to get Riley off him! Riley had always been very protective.
"Don't. You. Ever. Come. Near. Her. Or. Speak. To. Her. A. Gain!" Yelled Riley between punches. I grabbed her shoulders, and attempted to pull her off, but she wouldn't budge. It took me, Niall, and Liam to pull her off.
When she had finally calmed, Niall turned to me. Although things had been rough, i missed talking to my best guy friend. "Can we talk?" He asked, but I shook my head. "I should get Riley home. But call me?" I asked. He looked sad, but nodded, and me and Riley started out for Riley's car.
Later that night, my phone buzzed with a text from Niall, but i ignored it. I know I had promised to talk to him, but I just couldn't. I couldn't talk to anyone. I just wanted to be alone.
***the next day******
We pulled up to the courthouse, this time ready for the paparazzi. Although Paul hadnt come out this time, Riley acted like a body guard. Dang that girl was tough! She ushered me inside.
We were early, and I paced nervously outside te door. The boys were there, but Riley made them sit at the other end of the hall. Normally they would have complained, but after last night, no one wanted to mess with her.
Finally the door opened. It was a guard telling us we could come in. This was it. This meeting would decide my future.
