Loved You First (Sequel to Simon's Daughter)
Chapter 2
Julia’s POV:
“Jules, can I talk to you for a second?” He asked quietly. I nodded my head. I led him into my bedroom, and shut the door.
“How long were you going to keep this from him? I mean it’s his daughter, too.” Liam said, sitting on my bed covering his face with his hands, and his elbows resting on his knees.
“I don’t know…I thought forever…” I mumbled. I heard him sigh.
“How do you plan on telling him?” He finally looked at me, but I didn’t have an answer.
“I-I don’t know…what if he doesn’t even want anything to do with her? The reason I didn’t tell him was because he probably hated me. Actually, you all probably hate me.”
“No we don’t, Jules. We could never hate you no matter what happened. We may have been frustrated at the time but we never hated you. But all I know is that you need to find some kind of way to tell him.” I nodded and sighed.
“Well, how?” I asked him, confused.
“I don’t know, that’s on you. She’s your child, and this situation is your responsibility. But I can and always will be your shoulder to lean on.” He winked at me.
“Did you want to stay for a little longer?” I asked, hoping he would. I missed having him around.
“I wish I could but it’s already getting kind of late, and I gave to head back to the hotel with the boys.” I felt my heart drop. Just knowing that they’re all here. In the same city as me. As Lexi.
“Okay…” I said kind of disappointed. We stood up together and left my room. I saw Christa braiding Lexi’s hair, and as soon as Lexi saw us she got up and ran over to me.
“Mommy, where is Liam going?” She asked pointing towards him. He smiled at her and walked towards her.
“I have to get back to my friends at the hotel.” He said sweetly. Lexi smiled at him.
“Will you be back?” She asked walking closer to him, suddenly no longer frightened by him.
“Maybe tomorrow, if that’s okay with your mum.” Liam and Lexi both looked up at me and I nodded my head.
“Of course it’s okay. You’re welcome any time.” I smiled at him.
“Well then it’s settled! I’ll be back tomorrow!” He smiled at Lexi and she giggled.
“Can your friends come, too?” She said asked and Liam’s eyes went directly to mine. I hesitated and before I could speak Liam cut me off.
“Of course.” He looked back at Lexi and smiled. I glared at him.
“Okay. Bye bye Liam!” She smiled and went over to hug him. He bent down, and hugged her back.
“Goodbye, sweetheart. I’ll see you tomorrow!” She ran back over to Christa and Christa waved at Liam. He waved back with a small smile, then turned back around to face me.
“Liam, how could you! I’m not ready to tell him!” I yelled in a whisper so Lexi couldn’t hear.
“I never said you had to tell him tomorrow.” He smirked at me like a smartass and hugged me. I had to hug him back, I loved him. He was my ‘brother’.
“Bye, Liam. See you tomorrow.” I smiled at him, and he walked past me to the door, leaving. I turned around to face Christa and Lexi. Lexi came running up to me and I picked her up, tickling her.
“M-omm-y!” She said throughout her giggles. I laughed at her, and kissed her cheek. She wiped it off, jokingly and I gasped. I then attacked her with kisses all over.
“I love you, did you know that?” I said, and she kissed my cheek.
“I love you too, mommy!” She giggled. I couldn’t have asked for anything better in my life.

Liam’s POV:
When I entered the suite, all the boys looked at me.
“Where have you been all day?” Louis asked, knitting his eyebrows together.
“…out…” I replied, hoping they would stop with the questions. I honestly don’t know how all the boys would react if they found out I was speaking to Jules again. If they were mad, then they would just have to get over it. There was no way I could just leave Julia again. I care about her too much.
“Weren’t you going to talk to Simon?” Niall asked. I nodded my head.
“So it took you all day to talk to him?” He asked again, a bit confused.
“No…I went out to see an old friend after that.” I wasn’t lying. I did see an old friend.
“Who exactly?” Zayn asked, looking up from his phone.
“What is this, twenty questions?” I asked, getting a bit annoyed.
“Liam we were just asking…is something wrong…?” Harry now chimed in. Great. I’m doomed. I did tell Lexi that the lads would come along with me tomorrow. I sighed and just decided to give them the truth. There’s no point in lying.
“I hung out with Jules today.” I said bluntly. They all stayed quiet for a moment.
“You mean—“ Niall started and I simply nodded my head.
“Yes. The only ‘Jules’ we know. Julia Cowell and Christa Cowell. And-” I said, almost mentioning Lexi. Shit.
“And…?” Louis motioned for me to continue. I sighed.
“Christa’s niece.” I stated simply. I still wasn’t lying. Lexi is Christa’s niece. I know that’s not technically her niece, more like cousin, but they’re like sisters. Therefore, they are like aunt and niece.
“Christa has a niece?” Zayn asked.
“Well, it’s her cousin, really. But she’s like her niece.” I shrugged my shoulders.
“What’s her name?” Harry asked.
“Lexi.”
“How old is she?”
“Three years old.”
“What does she look like?”
“Well you lads will find out tomorrow. She said she wanted to meet you guys.” I smiled.
“Cool.” Harry said, nodding his head. I saw Niall sitting on the couch on his phone. I knew he heard what I said. He was trying to be cool about it, but I’m sure he was freaking out on the inside. He was going to see Julia tomorrow after three whole years.
Julia’s POV:
“Rise and shine, baby girl!” I said, waking up Lexi. She rolled over on her side and rubbed her eyes.
“Mommy I’m still sleepy.” Lexi was very smart for her age. She still has some trouble pronouncing her words, but she’s mostly got it down. I was very proud of her when her teacher had told me about all of this.
“I know baby, but you have to get to pre-school.” I kissed her forehead, and helped her out of bed. “Ready for your bath?” I asked, but she shook her head. She was definitely not a morning person.
After I finished with Lexi’s bath, I told her to go downstairs and eat her breakfast. After she left, I went back into my bedroom and got ready for my day. I had work almost all day which meant I couldn’t pick up Lexi today.
After taking my shower I put on the outfit I laid out not too long ago, and slipped on some flats (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=89430186). I walked out of my room, and made my way to the kitchen to grab an apple.
“She won’t finish but she ate most of it.” Christa told me, pointing to Lexi’s bowl of cereal.
“Lex, you need to finish that.” I raised my eyebrows at her. Ever since my anorexia, I’ve been really concerned about Lexi’s eating. I didn’t want her to end up like me. I want my baby to be healthy.
“Mommy I’m not hungry.” She whined, pushing the bowl away from her.
“Lexi please eat it.” I pushed it back to her. Am I really arguing with a three-year-old?
“Jules, calm down she ate most of it. She’s only three.” Christa assured me. I sighed and put her bowl in the sink. I can’t believe I let her win. I picked Lexi up from her booster chair, and set her down next to me. She held my hand and we walked to the door.
“Bye, Chris see you later!” I called out before leaving. I opened the door for Lexi and she crawled into her seat, buckling herself in. I shut the door and got into the driver’s seat.
“Mommy when is Liam coming?” She asked. Oh shit I totally forgot about that.
“I don’t know yet, babe.” I said, backing out of the driveway.

After dropping Lexi off at daycare I made my way to work. Time for another fun day of modeling.
Liam’s POV:
“So when are we going to meet Lexi?” Zayn asked, sitting on the couch.
“I don’t know yet. I have to wait for a response.” As if on cue, my phone buzzed. “That must be it.” I opened up the text message and it was from Julia.
Julia: Hey, Liam. I’m not going to get off of work for a while…do you think you could pick up Lexi from pre-school?
Me: Of course, I’d love to. Just text me the address!
Julia: Thank you so much, you’re a life saver! :)
Me: No problem, love. ;)
“Well lads, looks like we’re picking Lexi up from pre-school.” I smiled.
As soon as I got the address to the building, we all piled into the van. Louis decided to drive, and Zayn sat next to him in the passenger seat. Niall and Harry sat in the back, and I sat alone in the middle. When we pulled up to the building, I got out and went inside to sign her out.
“I’m here for Alexis Cowell.” I smiled at the lady.
“Ah, yes. You must be Mr. Payne.” She smiled back at me and gave me a pen to sign by Lexi’s name.
“LIAM!” I heard Lexi’s voice yell. I looked to the side and saw her running up to me.
“Hey there kiddo.” I laughed a little and picked her up, exiting the building. I opened the door of the car and she crawled in first, as I helped her.
“There’s no seat.” Lexi turned back around to look at me. I tilted my head at first, not understanding what she meant.
“I think she means car seat.” Louis said. That makes sense. Then what do I do?
“Here, just sit on my lap.” I got in and shut the door behind me. As I sat down, I picked up Lexi and placed her on my lap. I strapped the seatbelt over the two of us, and held onto her, keeping her close.
“Are these your friends?” She asked, looking at all of them. I nodded my head.
“That’s Louis, Zayn, Harry, and Niall.” I smiled as I pointed to each one of them.
“Nice to meet you, love.” Harry smiled at her.
“You talk just like Liam!” She gasped, causing us all to laugh.
“That’s because we’re from the same place!” Harry smiled at her, still laughing a little from her reaction.
“My mommy talks like you too.” She giggled. Uh-oh.
“Who’s your mommy?” Niall asked this time.
