I Wish I Could Hate You
Chapter 1
Emily's POV:
"And thankyou for riding with British Airways, hope you enjoyed your flight" I yawned as I heard the announcer. Here I am, back at Doncaster, England after 3 long years. Who am I kidding? We weren't even supposed to come back. I am sitting next to my older sister, Sophie, who is still asleep. We are about 5 minutes before we are supposed to land. As I stare out the window, I feel a poke on my shoulder, "Em, did we land yet?" Sophie asks me, rubbing her beautiful aquamarine blue eyes.
"5 minutes away" I tell her, smiling, while I braiding my long brown hair.
"Are mom and the boys awake?" Sophie speaks in her strong british accent, which I lost while we were in America. I look over my should and see my mom still asleep while my twin brothers, James and Edward, playing on their PSP's.
"Boys, wakeup mom, we are about to land" Sophie speaks to James and Edward while I space out.
"Remember Emily, you are starting school tomorrow" My caring mother, Harriet, reminds me for the hundreth time. I take out my Iphone and look at the date, 13th October 2013.
"Yes I remember. Why isn't Sophie or James and Edward starting school tomorrow?" I ask my mom, realising that my mother has only told me.
"Because the boy's school starts only next Monday because of some holiday they have and Sophie needs to go shopping for stationary since we forgot her box in the old house" I sigh as my mother explains it.
We are sitting in the car, the boys are still glued to their PSP's while Sophie is sitting in the front of the car, listening to her ipod. The moment of silence is broken when Sophie speaks,
"Mom, isn't this our old house?" I look out the window as we enter the garage of the house.
"Yes Sophie" Is all my mom says.
"DING DONG" I run down the stairs, my mom and Sophie left about half an hour ago to the grocery store while I'm stuck babysitting the twins. As I open the door, I see a familiar face,
"Emily is that you?" She speaks, WAIT! She's Jay, our old neighbor.
"Um, yes" Suddenly I'm stuck in between a tight hug.
"Dear, how come you didn't tell us you're coming back?" Jay says as she puls away from the hug.
"It was a shock for us too, I only found out about it last week" I tell her, remembering the day my mom broke the news, as well as the day I found out that my boyfriend for the past 7 months had been cheating on me since the very beggining.
"Well, we are glad you and your family came back. How about you join Louis, the girls and I for dinner?" That name, remembering him just fills me up in sadness. Realising I left Jay hanging I speak up.
"My mom and sister are not here, they left about half an hour ago to the grocery store" I inform Jay.
"Well, the time is 6 and we are having dinner at 7 so if you are free, you are always welcome" Jay smiles as we say our goodbyes.
