Chapter 5: Needed Support (Tori’s P.O.V.)

I was still down about that call I had gotten from that Boling guy. He had completely ruined my weekend. I had been so excited about the guys hearing my next cover of one of their songs, and then he had to go and stick his nose in my business. I hated it when people stuck their noses in my business.

“Just get over it, Tori.” I mumbled to myself.

I sighed as I turned back to my computer. I was trying to decide on what song I was going to use for my cover for next week. My only problem was that my media player was on shuffle and kept going to One Direction songs. This was just cruel.

“No,” I grumbled as hit the skip button for the millionth time. I was really getting nowhere with this.

After a few minutes, I decided to give up on it. I wasn’t going to get anything done while I was aggravated over all of this. I closed my laptop and sat it on my nightstand before I stood up to turn my light off. I let out a sigh as I slid under the covers. I decided to goof off on my phone until I fell asleep. I could check Twitter and then download some new game or something.

My Twitter loaded and I noticed that I had new tweets. My eyes lit up when I saw who it was from, Zayn.

I wasn’t really sure what to think. This was the second time that I had been directly tweeted by a member of One Direction. I decided to reply to him.

@zaynmalik1d Thanks for the support, but idk if I should make anyone mad

I sighed as I decided to find a game to download. I highly doubted that I was going to get a reply back from him. I mean, he was a famous singer and I was just some girl who sang covers for YouTube.

I finally decided to download FreeFlow again. I had beaten the game once before but I really didn’t have much else to do. After ten minutes, I had beaten the first thirty levels and was starting to get bored with it.

“Meow.”

I looked over the side of my bed and saw Ranger sitting by my door. I smiled as he spotted me and meowed again.

“Come here, Ranger.” I patted the side of my bed. He trotted over and smelled my hand for a moment before he started to rub his head against it. I smiled more as I leaned over to scoop him up. He let out another meow as I laid him down on my stomach. He started to purr as he stretched out and got comfortable.

“You are so spoiled, you know that?” I asked as I scratched him behind his ear again. “Yeah, you know that.”

I felt my phone vibrate my bed. I felt for it, finally feeling it. I picked it up and unlocked my screen. I looked at my screen as something scrolled on the top before a little Twitter bird appeared. I clicked on the notification and saw that had another mention.

@Tori-Ly Ok, just wanted you to be happy #smile #singyourlungsout

I was shocked. I had not expected Zayn to tweet me back, let alone saying that he just wanted me to be happy. I looked at his hashtags. The last one seemed to stick out to me: sing your lungs out. I wanted to sing my lungs out, I loved singing. That was all that I wanted to do with my life. I smiled as I typed a reply.

I smiled even more as I reached over for my laptop. I had a cover to record.
