Chapter 21: Fun Day
Chapter 21: Fun Day (Tori’s P.O.V.)
This all seemed a little suspicious. Amber never asked me to meet her anywhere, she always just walked over to my house and drug me along. I decided that she was probably just being lazy today and wanted me to come to her.
She wanted to meet at the arcade that was downtown by Pub Neutral. We had gone there so many times it was ridiculous. And I always spent way too much money in that place. No, I seriously think that I am the reason that the place pays the bills every month.
My phone went off as I grabbed my purse and key.
Where u at?
I shook my head at Amber’s impatience.
Leaving now
I shoved my phone into my pocket and headed out my front door.
“Bye Ranger,” I said as I leaned down and rubbed him head before walking outside. I locked the door and headed off down the street for the arcade. I knew it would take me under ten minutes to get there, but I wanted some tunes right now.
I pulled my headphones out of my purse and plugged them into my phone before I began to search through my music. I was in the mood for something heavier today. My eyes landed on a song by Maroon 5, and I changed my mind.
“Can’t go wrong here,” I muttered as I pushed the song. I smiled as the song filled my ears.
“Beauty queen of only eighteen,
She has some trouble with herself.
He was always there to help her.
She always belonged to someone else.”
I hummed along to the sound of Adam Levine’s voice. I loved this song. It was just one of those songs that told such a good story and a powerful message, that I couldn’t help but play it everytime I thought of it. By now, I was singing out loud with the song, not caring who heard.
“It’s now always rainbows and butterflies,
It’s compromise that moves us along, yeah.
My heart is full and my door’s always open,
You come anytime you want, yeah.”
I looked up to see the arcade in the distance. I wondered how I had gotten here so fast. It was probably because I was enjoy this song so much.
“I don’t mind spending every day,
Out on your corner in the pouring rain.”
I smiled as the song faded out and another one started. I really wasn’t paying attention to it though. I pulled the ear buds out of my eyes and placed them back in my purse as I slid my phone into my pocket.
“It’s about time,” Amber said as she threw her hands on her hips.
I rolled by eyes at her, “I’m usually the one waiting on you.”
“It didn’t appear to be that way this time,” I heard someone else say from off beside me. I turned to see the guys all standing there smiling at me.
“What?” I asked.
Zayn stepped forward, “We wanted to do something today that would be fun.” He had a smile on his face.
“Really?” I asked. This seemed almost too good to be true.
“Really.” He continued to smile as he walked over and placed a hand on my back. “Let’s have some fun.”
“Yeah,” I turned to see another girl was here.
“Natalie!” I smiled as I went to give her a hug. I leaned back, “Is Cody here too?”
Those two were always together. They always swore that there was nothing between them, but I knew better. The two of them were head over heels for each other.
“You already looked at me,” I heard his voice. I turned to see him standing amongst the other guys. He waved at me, “Hi.”
I grinned a little, “Hi.”
“Well,” Louis rubbed his hands together, “since everyone is here now. Let’s play!”
And just like that, he was off running through the arcade. I smiled as Harry and Cody ran off after him. The rest of us spread out too, ready to have the fun day that had been planned.
