The New Girl
Chapter Eighteen
-NIALLS POV-
I was so shocked. I didn’t see that coming. Should I ask her out? Should I act like nothing happened tomorrow? I had so many questions running through my mind. I could the whole gang whistling a cheering behind me but I wasn’t paying attention to them. My Cheek was all tingly and I couldn’t move. Zayn came over and patted my back and congratulated me.
“Good job Lad!” Zayn kept saying.
“We are proud of you mate!” Liam told me. Everyone but Harry ended up giving me a congratulations or pat on the back. Harry was still kind of upset with me but I didn’t really know why. I mean I know I kissed his girlfriend but we all agreed to play spin the bottle, even him. I mean it’s not like we were arguing but he wasn’t talking to me much. I do feel bad about it but it was just a game. HE is the one that let Perrie’s friend get all over him.
“So are you gonna ask her out?” Louis asked me with a grins plastered on his face.
“I don’t know mate. I can’t help but feel that she is out of my league.” I confess to them.
“Niall, lad, go for it! Whats the worst she can do? Say no?” Zayn tells me giving me a pep talk. Surprisingly it’s working.
“Alright. Fine I will ask her out, but if she says no it’s on………..” I cover my eyes and spin in circles. When I stop my finger is pointing to Liam. “……..YOU!”
“WHAT?! Why me?!” Liam yells looking dumbfounded.
“Sorry lad, don’t look at me. The finger picked you.” I say as I wiggle my finger in front of his face and walk to my car. He throws his head back.
“Why me?!” he jokes.

-BRIES POV-
“I can’t believe you just did that!” Joey yells while we are driving home.
“I can’t either. I’m so stupid! He probably doesn’t even like me like that.” I say putting my fingers on the bridge of my nose.
“Don’t stress! He is so into you! Do you see the way he blushes when you are around? He even stutters! He NEVER does that with other girls. Trust me.” She explains and I can’t help but smile. I spent the rest of the car ride home thinking about how cute our kids would be and replaying the shock I got when I kissed his cheek. I seriously wish I could be with him all day everyday! He is just so adorable!
“Brie get out were home!” Joey interrupts me from my mind ramble because I was just sitting in the car. She was already at the front door. Whoops.
“I’m coming! Sorry I was mind rambling.” I confess as I reach her on the front porch.
“Wanna stay over again?” She asks me as we walk in the door.
“SISSY!!!” we hear Emma and Ella scream.
“Hey guys! What are you doing?” Joey asks the twins.
“Coloring!” They tell her once again saying it unison.
“Oh! I LOVE coloring!” She tells them and I giggle. She was so good with them. I have a feeling she is going to be an amazing mother when she gets older.
“We know sissy! We wanna be like you when we grow up! Maybe one day we can use big girl crayons!” I smile at their reference for paint.
“We us big girls are gonna go upstairs and use big girl crayons so if you need me yell ok?” My best friend says as she kisses their heads and we head upstairs to paint. She taught me techniques to painting but I will never be as good as her. She has artist in her blood. I really am quite jealous of her painting skills.
We change into sports bras and short shorts so it’s easier to paint in. We paint for almost an hour before we get board and have a paint fight. We both ended up with different color hand prints all over our bodies. It was really funny until the doorbell rang.
“Don’t worry my mom will get it.” Joey told me.
-ZAYNS POV-
I was bored so I thought I would go over to Joey’s. She wasn’t picking up her phone so I thought I would just ring her doorbell. She is probably painting. I rang the doorbell and her mom opened the door with the twins right behind.
“Hey Zayn.” Her mom said
“Hey Mrs. Parker! Joey home?” I asked her
“Yup she and brie are in the attic. Come on in.” Mrs. Parker informed me
“Hi Zayn!” Ella had really warmed up to me and ran over and gave me a hug.
“Hey cutie!” I hug her then head upstairs to find Joey and Brie. When I walk into joeys room I hear squeals coming from the attic so I sneak up there. They weren’t facing me so they didn’t see me walk in. They were throwing paint at each other but what I noticed first was what they were wearing. They were both in sport bras and REALLY short shorts. I was just watching until I saw Joey throw a sponge full of orange paint and it hit brie in the face.
“Nice aim!” I said laughing. They both scream and hide behind their easels. Once they realize its just me they stand up looking pissed. I start to chuckle because brie has orange paint dripping down her face.
“You know what Joey?” Brie says to her.
“What?” She answers
“I think Zayn needs a hug!” She says smirking and walking forward.
“Uh uh! No way!” I say backing up. They run towards me and Joey is surprisingly fast so she caught up to me quick and tackled me. About 5 minutes later all three of us were in a paint fight and we all looked like rainbows with legs.
