Chapter Nine
Chapter 9
Hadley looked over at Liam and blushed. He is still shirtless. She is embarrassed by how attracted to him she is. She grabbed his shirt from off the kitchen chair and handed it to him.
He smiled, "Thanks, love and thanks for letting me stay here last night. It made me feel a lot better. Are you sure you don't need me to stay behind and help out with Niall? Are you sure you can handle it?"
Hadley walked over to Liam and put her hand on his shoulder in a soothing way. Liam let out a big sigh. Hadley has always seemed to have that effect on people. She calms them just by talking too or touching them. But Niall is proving to be different. He just needs a little help is all.
"Liam, I got this. Niall will be better, I promise."
Liam pulled Hadley into his arms and held her tightly. Neither of them seemed to want to let go, so they didn't for a very long time until Niall came into the kitchen. They pulled away quickly like Niall had caught them doing something inappropriate.
Hadley gently said, "Niall, I laid out a plate full of food on the table for you."
Niall didn't even make an effort to head to the table, "I'm not hungry."
Liam, not meaning to be dramatic, gasped. No one every thought that Niall would ever say something like that. Liam started to cry. It kills him to see Nial like this. Hadley gripped his hand gently to comfort him with Niall getting suspicious.
"Well I will leave the leftovers in the fridge if you get hungry later and I can prepare them if you need help."
Niall scoffed, "Whatever."
Liam started to cry a little bit harder. When Niall left, Hadley hugged Liam again. He started to get her shirt wet with his tears but she didn't mind.
Hadley pulled away after a few minutes, "Liam, you need to go. This environment is not good for you. I will take care of Niall."
"When the three months are over, can I take you on a proper date?"
Hadley looked a bit caught of guard but she blushed, "I think I would like that."
She smiled shyly when Liam smiled his sweet smile at her. She made sure Harry was here to pick up Liam and saw that they drove off safely.
She closed the door and slid down the door taking a deep breath before smiling. This isn't going to be easy but Liam's date at the end of her session with Niall gave her some hope. Hadley went upstairs, carefully, to check on Niall. She sighed when she saw that he had passed out in his bed and was softly snoring. She gently pulled the covers over him and kissed his forehead like he is a small child. When she left to go entertain herself, Niall's lips turned up in his sleep. It was the first time he had truly smiled in months.
