Chapter 24
Liam looked a bit wounded by what Hadley told him but he, being the levelheaded guy he is, calmly asked Hadley a few questions.
"Do you love Niall, Hadley?"
Hadley looked a bit caught off guard and started stuttering. Liam interrupted her asking the question again. Fresh tears spilled down her face as she nodded.
"Do you want to be in a relationship with me?"
"Of course."
Liam asked her why? She couldn't come up with a straight answer.
Liam interrupted, "Hadley, please don't try and spare my feelings. It only hurts me more."
"Liam I am so sorry. You're such an amazing guy but you deserve someone better than me and you'll find her one day."
Liam had a few tears running down his face as he said, "I haven't heard that a hundred times before" he says with a weak smile.
Hadley wiped his tears and pressed her lips to his one last time. Hadley opened her mouth to say something but Liam cut her off with a sweet Liam smile that melts so many girls' hearts.
"Go get him. I just want to see both of you happy."
Hadley started to perk up a little bit, "As lame as it sounds, can we still be friends please?"
Liam smiled, "Of course."
Hadley sighed and Liam encouraged her to go talk to Niall. She walked off and back to her hotel room. When she entered, she saw Niall with a blade in his hand striking at his wrists and crying. She started to cry really hard knowing it was all her fault that he was resorting to this.
She gently took the blade out of his hand and whispered, "Niall, please stop. I need you to be here and happy and whole."
"Well I can't be whole when half of me is kissing my best friend."
More tears fell from his eyes and Hadley's heart broke again.
She whispered, "Nialler, go talk to Liam."
"Why would I talk to him? So he can brag about how he holds you at night and kisses you and traces random shapes on your skin?"
"Ni, please trust me, go talk to him. I promise you won't regret it.
