Twenty-Three
Chapter 23(2 CHAPTERS LEFT!! Sequel or no sequel?!)
Hadley's eyes followed Niall's arms as he threw them out dramatically.
She said as calmly as she could, "Niall, what happened to your wrists?"
She reached out and took one of his arms to look at the potential scars.
He said as he took back his arm, "It's not like you care. You might not get paid to help me but I'm sure Liam pays you plenty."
Hadley looked a bit hurt but she tried to shrug it off. There are more important things than worrying about being offended.
She came closer and took Niall's face in her hands before whispering, "I do care. More than you could possibly understand."
Niall put his hands on Hadley's waist and pulled her as close as he could to him. It was a little awkward given the fact Niall is only wearing a towel.
But that didn't stop Hadley from rubbing her hands on Niall's bare chest. He let out a deep sigh.
Hadley whispered, as her hands gradually traveled lower, "You're so beautiful."
As Niall's lips were about to meet hers and she had her hand practically in the towel, she snapped out of it. She backed away stammering about how she's with Liam and she shouldn't be so close to his best friend.
Niall said "I love you."
Hadley froze and even though she had clearly heard him, "What?"
"That's what's wrong with me."
Hadley started to cry and shake her head as she started to leave the room.
Right before she left she said, "Niall, I'm sorry but I can't. I just can't."
She went to go find Liam. She knew she needed to set things right. She bumped into him and his beaming smile soon faded when he realized she is not happy. He asked her what's wrong and she explained everything but had to stop a few times because she was crying so hard.
