*Liam's POV*
I didn't want to admit it before, but this is such a cute dog. I hope the club doesn't mind we have a dog, but hopefully they won't care.
Phew, Pebbles isn't noticed as we walk in. Miraculously, our group is right where we left them.
Eleanor and Perrie, as soon as they see us, bolt from the table and hug Kendall, taking her from my grasp.
They both start speaking at once. "Are you okay?" "My god, Louis told us all about it." "You poor thing!" "Does your arm hurt? Do you need ice?"
"I'm fine! Seriously, you guys." Kendall flushes under the attention. I like the way she looks after we made out. Hair all disheveled from my fingers, lips a bit puffy, dress wrinkled. She looks hot.
They lead her to the table, the three of them scooting in. I sit across from Kendall on the other side. Louis looks over at me and cocks his head.
“Holy fuck, is that a dog?” I nod. Hesitantly, Louis and Niall reach their hands over in front of Pebbles. Instantly, she starts to lick them feverishly. They both light up a bit.
“Management made you get a puppy?” Harry asks, confused.
“Nope.” Kendall grins. “He’s ours.”
Eleanor and Perrie share a quick confused look, then they gasp and turn to Kendall and me. “Are you guys together? Like officially together? Like not-forced-to-be-together together?”
My girlfriend and I share a look. “Possibly.” I drawl out.
“Depends on what you guys have to say.” Kendall shrugs. I look at her, and she gives me a reassuring smile and I suddenly understand. She knows how much these guys mean to me, and wants to make sure she doesn’t do anything to mess with that.
“Fucking finally!” Perrie says boisterously.
“Yeah seriously, took you two long enough.” Eleanor says, with Niall nodding sassily as he sips his beer.
“Hmm?” Kendall and I both say at the same time, then Louis, Zayn and Harry say the same.
“Everyone could tell you were crazy about her, mate.” Niall says. I feel my cheeks get warm.
Kendall smirks, but that disappears to a blush as well when Perrie says, “Don’t think you weren’t any different, girlfriend. I swear, your sexual tension was palpable.”
“It was?” Louis asks.
Eleanor nods, as if breaking the news to him. “You just didn’t really see it because you were harboring needless hatred over her.”
“Same goes for you, Zayn.” Perrie points her straw at him.
“You guys don’t hate her anymore, right?” I ask slowly.
“I never hated her.”
“We know, Niall.”
“I never hated her, but I didn’t really try to be a friend. So sorry.” Harry says. Kendall smiles reassuringly at him.
“I was a bit of a dick when we first met, but I stopped when the fan attacked you.” Zayn defends himself. She nods.
“I was a constant arse.” Louis bluntly puts out on the table. “But I hope you know I stopped when I realized you didn’t know who Danielle is.”
“I hope you know I stopped when you saved me from Jack.”
“Who is he anyway?” Eleanor asks, sipping her drink.
“He’s not important. I’m going to get some water for Pebbles. Be right back.” When Kendall gets up to leave, she pecks me on the lips then scampers off.
“You got yourself a great girl there, Li.” Niall tells me. “I’ve gotten quite protective of her. So don’t fuck this up.”
“I’ll try, Ni.” He winks at me.
“Let me see this dog!” Perrie says. As I hand them Pebbles, I know that if everything in my life has lead me to this moment, then it’s definitely worth it.
