We fought for days, wanting it to go our way
It’s taking over me, day by day
Help me overcome this war that I fight
Don’t let it overtake my will and might
For I will fight until it’s over

The pain that I feel, No one knows
But it’s slowly taking over me
It’s a struggle to stay alive
Going day by day, not knowing if I’m going to die
What’s inside of me is a war
A war that can not be one
Now I’m sitting here
The War is almost over
Only a couple more seconds of fighting
here and there
Went years and years of this constant struggle
To get over my sickness and disease
The War is Over
I’ve beat the sickness
My body is jumping with joy
I’ve beat it!
It’s out of me; The War is Over
And I overcame it
No more disease, no more hurting
And no more crying at night
I can live to see another day.
The War is Over!
