Yeah, you're right but you have to keep in mind that Alyssa's dad is really protective when it comes to boys(from earlier in the story) I mean, if you were a protective parent would you want your daughters room to be right across the hall from her boyfriends room? Ecspecially when you're not home very often because of you're job...
