It's sad that Evelyn wanted to have her dad put star on the tree, but he wasn't there. Because that's how it is in my family, too, only some Christmas' my dad is sent overseas by the navy. When I was younger I used to throw a fit about it just like Evelyn. ~Belle~

There is actually two possible outcomes to the shoe and watch and I'm really bad because I haven't decided which outcome I like more because I keep deciding on one then debating another so that will probably be hanging for a bit longer with more clues wormed in the chapters!
