Of course you'll get better, that's what more writing does to you! As a first story, you've done quite well, avoid the use of -AFTER SHOWER-, -AT SCHOOL- etc, a few ----- and a new starting paragraph with the right choice of words will tell the reader more than a heading plus it gives us a chance to create our own idea/movie in our heads of what we're reading xx
