I think you should update;
1. because it helps push your writing to get even better than before &
2. it helps you become stronger as a writer and less concerned about what other people think.

As long as you enjoy writing, that's all that matters. My stories get nowhere near as many views, comments or rates as some other people's on this site but it doesn't stop me because I just enjoy it. Don't give up xx
