Fanfiction 101 - Comments, page 7

@ThatRandomUnicorn
Yeah, I see exactly what you mean. It didn't bother me too much, but I was just really curios, and I've noticed it on other people's story's, but thanks for answering my question! :)

@One Direction 101
There are many reasons as to why a person will subscribe to your story, but not vote. I'd say a good handful of those who don't just don't know how to vote. Others, like myself actually, subscribe to see if they'll like it first when it's just started and vote later on when they get to know the story more. To other people, voting just may not be of their concern. Everyone has their reasons. I wouldn't be too bothered by it if I were you. I'd only be more bothered if people vote but don't subscribe. I mean, who votes for a story but doesn't subscribe? It makes even less sense, right?

Okay, so I have a question, on some of my story's I'll get someone who'll subscribe but then they won't vote and I think that's odd and I have no clue why'd they subscribe but not vote, but what do you think?

Wow, thank you! Thank you so much! I do read over when I write but my iPad is shit it's always changing things but thank you for your advice I will definitely do that.

And thank you for your well wishes, it means a lot to me to see people care. Thank you for the kind words, much love! Xx

@ThatRandomUnicorn
Yeah I understand. That makes total since. I wouldn't want the author to get mad at you for reviewing it without their permission.

@One Direction 101
Seeing as you aren't the author of Good Meets Bad, I can't give you, nor anyone else, my opinion on it. I would love to, but without consent from the actual author, I'm going to have to refuse. That and I fear my opinion can get me into trouble…

Hey, I just want your opinion on one popular story on here, Good Meets Bad. I want to see what you think of it since it's really never been reviewed.

@ThatRandomUnicorn

It was me actually. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I love it too, you know. I bought 'Pushing Daisies' some time ago and rewatch it from time to time. I bet Zooey Deschanel had seen it too... Lee Pace is just the cutest. So bad they cancelled it.

I can't keep 'my list' secret because I think there's plenty of people wanting to read something different so I share a few:

Permanent. I gave her the first vote so I guess I can call it my discovery :)

Study of Life and Love. ImpulsiveFreedom has other stories, and quite popular too, but this one is an underestimated gem.

And Back Again. Just started too but a must read.

Big Hot Mess. Forget 'overused.' Her writing is the best.

I'll be sharing a few more soon as I have a new project between hands to promote good reading, but I'm in a critical point in my own writing so I can't dissipate too much. I hope you enjoy them. You'll be glad to know my main character rubs her skin with pumice stone (I haven't said it yet but I will) ;) Stay sharp! xo

I wouldn't think it to be. I wasn't really focusing on realism though. After realizing that the list was a bit shorter than I would've liked, I added them into the bunch, but I get what you're saying that adding such things into stories can be misleading. I wasn't really suggesting people to write about them, just kind of… pointing things out I guess. You'll have to share some of your story findings with me, though. I'm always eager to try something new.

And aren't you the person who recommended 'Pushing Daisies' to me? It's been a while since then, and I totally forgot to thank you for recommending it to me - I love it! I mean, I've only seen the pilot episode, but I've been searching for a way to watch the rest of the shows.

Anyway, thanks for your feedback x

I don't think realism on writing has to do with shaving legs. You shave your legs if it's relevant to the story, as the visit to the dentist, etcetera. Actually, you can mislead someone reading by drawing too much attention to something that isn't important to the plot, and finally the tension disolves into irrelevant details. So I guess what we have to do is find more complex plots that allows us to write about deeper issues and not always the mantra 'girl meets boy and he shows her the world,' even if we write a romance story. But there's plenty on this very site! I've been looking around and found so many good stuff (girls who actually work, girls who actually go to college.) Quite unconventional jewels.

Looking forward to your next Fan Fiction. Kind regards :)
