anyone want to talk?, page 2
@MidnightMemory
Mhmm, Europe is so nice for that. It's one thing Australia really lacks, plus with our shitty government and things not being heritage listed a lot of older beautiful buildings and landmarks have been destroyed. Definitely check out the Hall of Mirrors and Marie Antoinette's garden. Absolutely breathtaking. I could have spent days there.
Sherlock's home is pretty damn cute too. I squealed like a little girl the first time I saw the door.
And I mean; everyone keeps telling me that 'oh, it's just Europe, it'll be there forever', and I'm always like "NOOOOO! IF HISTORY REPEATS, ALL WILL BE LOST FOREVER!" *dramatic flail*
I should really get an oscar nomination for my drama skills. (not haha)
@pippalove
I think you should. I could see it! If I could vote for you winning an oscar, I would, but sadly I can't. haha and I totally understand! Sure, they have been there for a while, but there are crazy people in the world and crazy things happen that we can't control. 10 years from now there is n guarantee that everything will still be there. It's all uncertain. Take the time while you can!
Girl, I totally understand about the fangirling part! I am going to freak out when I go see Sherlocks house. I recently fell in love with the show Sherlock. I have always loved Sherlock Holmes, but recently I have loved it more and more. I actually just watched that movie like 2 hours ago. I would marry him if I could to be honest
@MidnightMemory
The show, the movie the.. men. HAHA. It was amazing. I feel like such a freak fangirling over historical and fictional characters. Still damn awesome though. It's so sweet, cute and quaint. Nothing more than perfect could be used to describe it.
& thank you! One day I shall have that oscar.
@pippalove
Sometimes I feel weird fangirling over that too, but then again, they are just so.. perfect that I don't care! So amazing! Haha
So how did everything turn out with your best friend being in love with you situation? Or has that not quite been completely settled yet?
@MidnightMemory
We're not talking.
Well.. I'm not talking to him and he keeps trying to call through.
I'm not sure what I should do or how I should handle it.
Seriously, something always goes wrong when we head out drinking.
@pippalove
I feel so bad for you. That sounds like no fun at all. To be honest, I wouldn't know what to do either. Such an awkward situation. I would give it time though to just to think it all through and think about what you want to say so you don't say anything you will regret. But that's just my opinion :)
@MidnightMemory
Whoa.. I only just got this notification.
Yeah, our friendship has been through thick and thin to the end of the world and back again. It just feels.. strange. I don't want to not be friends over something as stupid and pitiful as this but I don't want to cause unease and awkwardness amongst everyone else.
Ughh.. I wish you could help more. I just sit here declining phone calls and deleting messages because I don't know what to say. Worst thing as well is, is that his gf and I are quite good friends so I don't think she knows what to do or how to handle things either.
I'm freaking useless.
@pippalove
No you're not! Don't think that! I completely see how things would be and probably are going to be awkward between everybody for this. I wouldn't want to stop being friends with someone for something like that. I know that when you loose friends over stupid things everything is different then when you loose friends for.. real reasons. I lost a friend over something stupid and it feels, unfinished. So I understand not wanting it to end.
I wish I could help more too! I'm trying to think of things to suggest, but I don't know. It's an awkward situation, and no matter what happens, there will always kind of be a little tension I guess is the right word. Like things will for sure be slightly different than they were before. I still think you guys could be friends, but everything needs to be talked about, with everyone. That's my opinion. I understand not wanting to deal with it right now, cause I wouldn't want to either, but I feel like eventually it will beed to be talked about.
With his gf, I say maybe just tell her that you don't like him that way (that is if you don't) and explain to her that you won't try and do anything and you are sorry. I guess just so she knows you aren't trying to steal him or anything or do anything to harm their relationship. Just so that you can salvage your friendship with her as well so things don't get sour. Make sense?
@MidnightMemory
Total sense. Especially about the unfinished business part. I really don't want something like that happening. I wish my friends were that easy though. His gf and I had a huge blue when they first got together because she accused us of cheating (we just happen to be the kind of friends who do everything together though but from another perspective I completely see where she's coming from.)
I figure I should probably get my bf talking before I try and please anyone else. He's at least not giving me the complete cold shoulder. I mean dinner was made before for two but he ate in our room :/ freaking pain. I swear.
And no; I don't think I like him. I mean if I did, something would have happened a long time ago. I just hate the 'what if's' that come into your head when something stupid like this happens.
@pippalove
Yeah I get it. There are always 'what if's' and they are a pain in the ass! haha I would seriously talk it over with your boyfriend though! That is the first! Tell him that nothing is going on and you don't want anything with him (your friend) more than a friendship. Just set where you stand so there is no confusion and assumptions.
Boys sometimes. I have never actually been in a relationship, but I have helped my friends through so much that I feel like I pretty much have been! haha Sometimes I don't understand them. They can be so.. femmy it's frustrating! haha they can get so sensitive. I would tell him where you stand though so your relationship isn't put into any extreme danger.
@MidnightMemory
You're like a therapist! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
& yes, my guy friends have more mood swings and 'that time of the months' than my female friends do. Seriously.. and they think we're difficult.
@pippalove
Oh thank you! :) Haha my friends come to me all the time asking for advice on what to do so I guess I must be good!
They really do! Guys have a time of the month just as much as girls do. No doubt about it. I think they get worse mood swings than girls do. My friend had a boyfriend who got offended because she wanted to go to a party with us instead of spending time with him. She had spent every day with him that week and she wanted to hang out with us for a few hours and he got so upset! It was like "Calm down there buddy. It's one night, you have had her this whole past week and the past weeks and we just want tonight."
@MidnightMemory
Well wish me luck. I'm gonna try and talk to him now before he heads to bed for work tomorrow x
@MidnightMemory
I was so close. I figure waking him though could lead things to get worse. Specially seeing as he's not a morning person either so.. ya'know. Now I just have to deal with these stupid messages and calls.
I might watch a movie. ughhhhh - wait.. what are you doing up at this hour? Isn't it like crazy o'clock where you are?
@pippalove
It's 1 AM, I am a night owl for sure, I stay up really late and then sleep in. It's a habit I need to break.
Movies are always a good idea! Haha I watch movies like crazy. In fact, I'm watching one right now. They can get your mind off everything and take you into someone else's life and story for a few hours and let you forget your own. Music does the same, at least for me.
@pippalove
I'm so glad someone understand! Haha I also really want to go and see all the historic sights, that's one thing I am mostly interested in. Like the iconic Eiffel Tower, the castles, Big Ben, also things like Juliet's Wall, the London Eye, Sherlocks home, the Globe Theater, Leaning Tower of Pisa, all those things. Also to go there just to say that I have been there. Just to be able to look back at my life in a few years and say "I went there. I have gone and seen that."
