I totally agree with you it is so refreshing to see celebrities that are still staying true to themselves Ive seen so many fall away (miley cyrus, taylor swift, Justin Bieber) that's its nice to see people who can handle the fame and still be real :)

You're welcome love :) btw? What other music are you listening to currently? I only ask because well - I'm curious haha and it was really hard telling my friends I was into 1D because of the rest of the music I listen to and how I am they didn't take me seriously :/

Like I love Vanna (hardcore band), Neck Deep, The Story So Far, The 1975, The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, The Clash, Radiohead, The Doors, Indochine, The Black Keys, Man Overboard, Real Friends, Terror, Backtrack, Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Crystal Castles, Crim3s, Grimes, those kind of bands/music! ahah :) and you?
And yea I understand you, I'm also very afraid cuz they listen to what I told you, but recently my best friend told us last year he wanted to go see them live I almost wanted to tell him: ''Oh we could've!!'' but my boyfriend who is a metal/hardcore music lover who actually really don't like them(almost despite them) was beside me and my other best friends who I don't know their thoughts about them were there too.. :S (but I think my bf might suspect me loving them cuz everytime he says a remark on them I defend the boys and he's always: Ugh okay then.. ahaha XD)
OMFG SOMEONE ELSE WHO LIKES THE CLASH!!! *brb dying*, I knew you were awesome & Radiohead and Black Sabbath. . ho ho ho. Feels like Christmas. I'm currently listening to Social Distortion at work, I'm a little more into the say hard rock stuff and90s pop punk (The Ramones, Green Day, Blondie, Bad Brains, Bad Religion etc.. now that I think of a lot of B named bands).
My boyfriend is exactly the same as well. He's living his life with the assumption he should have been around in the 50s with good music, fast cars and leather jackets.. he's caught on though. I randomly started buying 1D things and leaving them around the house. I think he's noticed but we don't talk about it haha..

OMG you're so cool!! Ahaha!! Yeaa started to listen to it more these past months, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic, like I wish there will be more bands like them these days, but if you like 90's pop punk you should try The Story So Far and Neck Deep, they are bit similar but with a more modern touch ahah :) yeeaa but mine just LOVES metal, and like Hundredth and those kind of band, when I told him I'm less of a fan of hardcore music then when we first met he was so sad but also he started to like pop punk cuz of me so now he has some in his ipod like The Ataris so when I'm with him that what we mostly listen too or to Thrice ahaha :) xo

I also don't live in the UK so i became a Directioner last summer so I've been with the fam for about a year and half but I know that if i lived in the UK I would've been here since the VERY BEGINNING. I SOO agree with you about how wonderful the aura of them is. They let us see them as who they are and the don't pretend and fame hasn't gone to their heads. It's funny you should write this because I actually don't see them as celebrities...like it's weird. like no doubt in my mind I see them first as my best friends. I mean yeah they're famous but that's a useless adjective in this situation. Fame does not define them and that's what I love. When I started liking them I watched all of their video diaries from X Factor and fell in love with the boys on the stairs. But here's the thing that a lot of people don't understand: There looks have changed drastically but they're still the same 5 idiots that we fell in love with 3 years ago. SO WELCOME TO THE 1D FAMILY!!! <3 <3 This is literally the most amazing fandom in the entire world. #Directioner4Life

Omg you don't how good I feel right now, having two persons that understand me and somehow relate to me!! Thank you si much, I'm glad to call me a directionner right now!! Hehee :3 and yeaa me too it starter with the Xtra Factor stair interviews that it happened so like basically I'm a fan of THEM who they are, yes I love some of their songs but mostly them as a person!! Hehee :)

Just wanted to say hello to you other story tellers!!
I am a new member of this site and also a new member in the Directionners family.
Yes I know I am an anonymous person, but it's only because I still have some issues with my recent love for the boys, cuz you know I am a punk/grungy girl and all my friends listen to metal and other kind of music with the same genre, and I'm a bit shy to tell them this cuz I'm affraid that they'll laugh at me, the only person that knows that is ya'll and my mom who cuz of me also starting to like them. First and for all, I am not here to hate (nor to receive hate,please) but to show love and respect. I first started to like them when they were in X-Factor(watched it online cuz I sadly to myself don't live in the UK D:) but then lost sight of them cuz I started to listen to bands such as hardcore bands and punk/pop-punk bands, but a month or so I watched This Is Us and god did my love for them came back, but more as them as a person, like yes they write great songs but you know they are also humans, and learned so much more about them then the crap they say in those teen freaking magazines in this movie, like how much nice is their friendships and personnality, I think I've never seen friends THAT close since my best friends and I. I hope that there's other people like me in here who have opened eyes and see through the songs and popularity but only to them as equal people. :) Thanks for reading this, please accept me, I promise I won't be a bad person or ignorant person, I'm just a person who likes to see through other people souls and learn to love their own selves.
