I tend to have a general idea of where I want to story to go, but I always post a chapter at a time. Personally I think my own work would be better if I didn't post intermittently, but rather finish it and then post it, but I am too impatient for that. Also I think I would lose interest if I wasn't sharing the stories with other people.
If you've stalled out with your new story, why not write in pieces? I don't usually do that, but I know others who do. Then you can write the parts you're excited about and fill in the rest when you have modivation to do so.

Same here. I plan the story in my head and post chapters as I write them. That, however, is not working for me at the moment.
I've never thought about writing in pieces. Oh well, I'm gonna give it a try now. Thanks for suggesting it and helping me :))
How many of you actually outline your story, create drafts after drafts, edit thoroughly and then post it on your preferred platform? Is it helpful? Are you always satisfied with your work, or if there are instances where you want to throw away the entire piece you've written?
To those of you who work without preamble, how do you manage to stay motivated to finish your project? Even if it takes you weeks to update, what makes you do it?
I'm so wired about this new story I'd started to write but stopped about 1500 words later. If there was somebody who could help me, I'd really appreciate it :)
