Help, please?

My friend has come out to his parents as Gay a few weeks back and I've not heard from him since. His parents are Homophobic, controlling and they think they can "Pray Away the Gay"

I love this boy with all my heart. He was my very first friend at school - We grew up together. He deleted his Facebook and Instagram, I haven't had a single call or text

Don't think of posting any mean or stupid comments. I've been going out of my mind for almost five weeks not knowing where he is

(I should mention we're both over eighteen. He lives with his Mum and Dad and I live alone. He wanted to live with me to be safe but his control freak Mum wouldn't let him)

The best you can do is let him know, in one way or another, that he is loved by you and has your support. If he is being verbally abused and is 18, then he has every legal and personal reason to leave. Just continue to be there for him no matter what. He's hurt and confused since it is his family that he has to deal with at the moment.

I'm sorry your friend has to go through this. No one should.
