Who has a ghost story?!

I'm looking to write a new story (ugh, it's a bad habit) that's based around 1D and a psychic (specifically an automatic writer). So to get in the mood, does anyone wanna talk about the paranormal with me? :D Feel free to mention personal experiences (those are the best though mine are kind of meh)or just general creepiness :3

@Call_Me_Godot
My cousin passed away when she was 4; she was my aunts only child. Every time I visit my aunt I ask her why there are baby toys in the kitchen and she packs them away as if someone's left them there to toy with her.

I have so many. My sisters and mother claim so much and our house is built on an old cemetry in the city we live in. If you need ideas - I'm your girl.

Oh and this isn't a story but a little poem I remember my babysittrr telling me years ago. Has a creepy ghost vibe. You might like it;

my father he fills me with dread,
when he sits at the foot of my bed,
I don't care that he speaks in quivers or shrieks,
but for 17 years hes been dead.

@teddymae
That's fabulous :3 I've had a few run ins with a girl at a local train station. Every time a train goes by, the whole vibe if the place gets weird-like a mix if sadness and fear and you can literally feel another person there (one of my friends is a photographer so obviously she has high grade cameras and every time we go there together she catches orbs. She NEVER catches orbs).

Oh and just the other day, one of my coworkers told me that there might be something in her daughter'a house :O

@Call_Me_Godot
That's wicked. I'm not a 'believer' of the super natural so to speak; but I definitely get a kick out of stories people say and the ideas they get in regards to the subject. I don't know how much of this http://www.yourghoststories.com/ is real or you know, well made up but the site has some killer stuff if you're looking for spooky inspiration.

@teddymae
I'll check it out :D I consider myself a believer since, while there's no proof saying this stuff exists, there's also no proof saying it doesn't ;P but I'm not one of those nitwits like the people on Ancient Aliens or Ghost Adventures who just automatically assumes "omg! That was a/an _____!" Like everything, there's gotta be some logic involved lol

@Call_Me_Godot
I completely understand. I love the skeptics you can get on shows like those. I particularly like the ones who sabotage things. I wish I could have an experience just to concrete my thoughts rather than just say I don't believe if that makes sense?

@teddymae
Yeah, I know. It's hard to feel one way or another without really experiencing something. If you're really curious, I'd suggest doing some research on things in your hometown (ie deaths, tragic events, key places, just stuff that could/would be related to a haunting) and try bringing a trigger object. Or talk about something that may interest the spirit. It's almost a good thing to be skeptical because if you walk into a situation where there may or may not be something there, your brain will initially try to explain it before jumping to a paranormal conclusion :D so anything you CAN'T explain would maybe be a bit more valuable to you.

But I like the skepticism on Ghost Hunters :P even though that show kind of bores me, I like that they always try to recreate sounds or sights before deciding "well maybe it WAS a spirit."

@Call_Me_Godot
Ghost hunters.. is that TAPS? If not I'll have to check it iyt

@teddymae
Yeah that's TAPS =P I prefer watching Ghost Adventures because I like watching Zak Bagins flip out about everything like Gorgio Tsouklas on Ancient Aliens

@Call_Me_Godot
There goes my bad auto correct! I'll have to find Ghost Adventures. You have sparked my curiosity now.

@teddymae
It's so freaking hysterical lol it's three of them and something's always attacking Aaron. Zak's always freaking out about something. Then Nick could care less. He likes doing solo EVPs

@Call_Me_Godot
Wicked! So what's this paranormal story idea you have going on? Do you know the basis? I've always wanted to write a story about a girl who gets phonecalls from an unknow source telling her things about the people around her and then one day gets one telling her shes going to die.

besides the point though; have you found enough inspiration yet? :)

@teddymae
oh, I've known lol I just wanted to swap ghost stories to put me in a mood to write :P lol I'm going to cross 1D with Ghost Adventures. They're living in a mansion together to record and become convinced it's haunted so they call GA. Zak Bagins brings in his cousin, Ciel, who's an automatic writer to help them :P

@Call_Me_Godot
I can not wait to read this!

I was on holidays not that long ago and had a lady come up to me who started talking about my childhood house - the colour, age, layout, how many bedrooms, the leaky faucet in the laundry etc. She told me my great aunt who lived there wanted me to say goodbye properly. Happened to be so the house was on auction. So I went down, stood in the bedroom my aunt had her heartache and bid her farewell. The windows statted shaking frantically and potential buyers all came into the bedroom I was standing in. This lasted for about a minuteand then suddenly just stopped.

she'd always beat her fist at the window to tell us kids to keep it down when we were playing outside in the summer. I felt totally at peace. Nothing too scary just strange.

@teddymae
I'm trying to compose the first chapter :3 (well not at this moment since I'm at work)

@audreydeville
In any other situation, had it not been a relative trying to contact you, that would probably be terrifying O.o lol but it's really cool that you got to experience something so personal :D when my great grandma died I inherited her antique writing desk and for about three months, even though nothing WEIRD happened per say, it definitely felt like someone else was in my room (assumably her :P but I love my grandparents so I think she knew I was okay with it). I think the most personal EXPERIENCE I've had is probably the train station ghost (if you read the whole post) I like to visit, she's called me out by name a few times with a ghost box when I go on downtown tours :O

@Call_Me_Godot
I did read it all. The experience would have been great. I too can't wait to read what you're writing.

Horror is like my life. I saw a dead girl in a pic while taking a selfies by my slider door and then I saw some creepy ass little girl starring through the glass

@audreydeville
Well thank you lol I'm just amazed your experience was so personal like that :O

@Nialls_Girl1
That's...terrifying >.> lol did you ever try doing research on the house? (I'm a big paranormal nerd living in a pretty haunted town so I gotta ask XD) Research is key ;P
