Well not only is it stupid. But it can kill them and there pretty little brain cells. I mean no offense to Zayn but I expected it from him... But Louis? Me and my friends were crushed it's not the we still don't love them it just hurts... ALOT! It's like having a family member say they don't love you anymore. Or when you lose a best friend. It hurts. It feels like a little part (or big) has been shattered inside you. A piece of your soul your personality is fading. Having your role models betray you is hard. We...it's just... God I. angry but probably more hurt than anything.
OMG I'm so mad ! I found out thanks to Buckley on YouTube . I just ... I feel a swarm of hate towards them and I feel like a traitor !
They are the oldest yet acting like there fucking 5 what the hell ? Millions of people love them and there supposed to be idols and not idiots !
...I'm not sure where you above got that pot can kill someone but it's not like cocaine or any kind of hard drug. In it's most natural form, it's harmless, way more harmless than even a tobacco rolled cigarette.
Yes; stupid for filming it. Yes; stupid for having the video leaked, but if they wanna smoke; it's not illegal for them where they currently are.
I'm not saying all 20 somethings have done it before but it's a lot more common than what most people thing. My opinions on them haven't changed; I still love Louis and Zayn incredibly - they just need to learn 'right place at the right time'.

I haven't read any of this conversation just what you first posted so that's what I'm responding to and here's what I think about it:
Most of the time, people will get involved with drugs and alcohol because of emotional turmoil and stress that is always constant in their lives. They constantly have people screaming in their faces and NOTHING they do is private (as we can see). I've been in this fandom for 2 years, so I'd like to say that I pretty much know "the norm" with these boys. Yes they smoke cigarettes, but it's a stress releaser. They try their best to not let us see it and I respect them for that.
I'm not saying that I AGREE with what they did at all. It's a mistake that I hope they're learning from, but it worries me because I feel like they're more stressed and breaking on the inside than I had originally thought. It makes me want to be by their side and help them through any trouble that they might be going through because...Lord knows they've helped me get through enough shit in my life. I consider them my best friends, not celebrities or "famous" people. Take from that what you will but that's just how I see them. With that being said, one of my best friends this year came to me and told me that he had "experimented" with smoking pot. He told me that he did it because he'd been majorly depressed and close to suicide. I am in no position to judge him. It's his life and his decision, and I will always be here for him to make sure he gets through any problem he faces. Same goes for the boys.
Now, let's say that Zayn and Lou DIDN'T do this because of stress or other personal reasons and just wanted to "experiment" for the sake of "experimenting." I still don't hold anything against them. Look around your classroom tomorrow and I bet the vast majority are either frequent smokers or have at least tried it once in their life. You're not going to completely detach yourself from them are you? You'd have no one to talk to. I just recently graduated High School and I'm heading to college next year. What I found this year is that people i NEVER would have predicted to try it or do it....do it.
Do I WISH that they wouldn't have done it? Of course. But it's not up to me to decide what's best for them. Let them make their own decisions and mistakes and let them learn from them. It's hard enough for someone to get through something positively with a good life lesson on their back without having 20 million fans possibly leave your side and the entire WORLD judging your every action and decision.
Sorry this is long....but that's what I think about this whole thing.

I agree with you! I still love them to death! But it's just they might be hurting themselves, and they are my heros without capes. They are practically my whole life. I just don't want them hurt. Ya know?
I love those dear boys to death but they're slowly killing themselves by doing that. I know its their decision but that doesn't mean we can disagree with it. We don't have to love everything about every boy and someday they will realize that they made a stupid decision. Its life, you learn from your mistakes and you move on.

Oh honey i TOTALLY agree. Like I said, I don't agree with what they did AT ALL, but I refuse to leave their side because they literally saved my life.

My opinion is this. I believe this is crap. honestly, I don't believe this at all. It could be a water cig, or a e-cig or anything. But I don't honesty think that they would be tuning there career so early on in there career life. Ya know what I mean? We'll all find out the truth soon enough babes!

I think it's really really really stupid of them. I still love them but how could you not. The way I feel about it is they get to pick their poison: their happy life or their drugs. And I hope they go with their life.

Yes weed does effect your lungs like cigarettes do, and they already smoked those too. The thing is if they possessed more than eight grams, they could face charges since that is the maximum amount you can posses in Peru. This personally beaks my heart. I know they are adults and people make stupid mistakes, but this just saddens me. And not only does the fact that they were smoking weed sadden me, but the fact that they were stupid enough to film it. Also if you watch the video, you can hear Louis using racial slurs, and they are making so many jokes about pot it's almost like they are trying to be cool about it. And the fact of the matter is they have probably done it more than once and in places where it's NOT legal and that makes me even more sad. I can no longer say that I like an innocent good hearted band because even though I know that they are all generous grateful boys, all society is going to see is that two of the five smoke pot, and this is going to stick with them forever. I would be able to get over the fact that they smoked weed sooner or later, but the racial slurs just bother me... Like I said, I'm heartbroken over this.

I entirely agree! I knew they weren't all sweet little teenage boys anymore, but it just had not hit me that they could even do bad things, because I had never thought of it, so it just shattered me to see that they are not so good after all. Does that make sense?

About the racist slurs ... you know I bet they don't know what the F*** there doing . Are they pretending to like us ? I dunno . But yes they have a hard career and it has its con's but not because they have all the money and all the fame , doesn't mean they can just offend . They were in Peru at the moment and its bull shit what there doing 'honest . Fake or not it ain't funny . Or cute .

Honestly, they're grown ups. In Europe everyone smokes and it is socially acceptable so no, I don't think they realize that they are hurting people in our fandom by doing it. Also, weed doesn't affect your vocals. Cigarettes do because they have tar in them that coat your lungs and make it hard to breathe but weed is technically a herb... It has no chemicals in it really.
It's also not addicting, unlike what some say. There's no addicting factor in it so it could just be a one time thing. You can get addicted to being high but not the actual weed itself. Also, I think if we really want to get them "back on track" or whatever, we can't cause scenes like this. Everyone is saying how were crazy and such... Well, we need to show that were just crazy about our boys and no matter what, we're here. If we can take away the stress, there's no need for them to smoke. But the more you blow up on it, the worse they'll feel. It'll be like a guilt trip in every worse way.
Okay so I just recently found out that Louis and Zayn were smoking weed. I know they are adults but still. I wonder if they relize they are not only hurting us but hurting themselves along the way. Here is the video. You have to confirm your age before you watch it though. It can affect their singing, I just don't want them to ruin there own career. Okay weed affects your lungs right? Sorry my blonde is coming out.
