My mind raced, and i dropped the note and stone to the floor. I slowly moved across my room and to what had once been my huge window. I saw the dark car parked across the street. I gulped. Although I couldn't see them, i knew who was in there. The car sped off down the street.

Later that night, I was in the kitchen eating and studying. "Your rooms all clean and fixed Ashely." Said Polly, coming down the stairs. "Ok." I said, shutting my book. I headed up to my room. The new window was placed. My bed had been cleared of all glass, and the sheets had been changed.

I changed to short shorts, and a tank top. I slid under my covers, and began scrolling through iFunny. Suddenly a message appeared on my screen. I tapped read and saw it was from an unknown number.

-Hey its Niall

Me: Um hi. How did you get this number?

Niall: I have my ways

Me: Um...k?

Niall: I just needed to ask you something.

Me: Shoot

Niall: Meet me outisde

Me: Outside?

Niall: Outside your house

Me: YOU'RE AT MY HOUSE!!!

Niall: yeah

Me: crepper!

Niall: Sorry! I just needed to say this in person

Me: how do I know you won't like kidnap me

Niall: trust me. I swear I wont.

I thought for a minute. He did warn me about the others, but could I trust him? How did I know it wasnt part of the scheme. But then again he could tell me what would happen in the gym tomorrow.

Me: Ok. Out front?

Niall: yup

Me: k

I slid my phone into my pockets. They weren't the best pockets, but no way was I going out without a phone! I headed for my door. My parents would already be in bed, and so would the other maids. I slipped out my bedroom door, and down the dark hallway.

I unlocked the front door, slipped on a sweatshirt jacket, and entered the brisk night. I headed down the stone driveway, the coolness felt good on my feet. I reached the end of the driveway, and peered through the gate. Where was he? Suddenly a hand grabbed my shoulder.

"Aaa..mph." I yelled before a hand clamped over my mouth. "It's only me." CAme Nialls voice. I turned around, and he was smiling. "You scared me!" I hissed. He laughed, and grabbed my hand pulling me under a nearby tree.

"How'd you get through the gate?" I asked. "I have my ways." He said. That worried me a bit. "What did you want to say?" I asked. "Um well, i have a way you could be safe from those guys. This is awkward." "just ask me?" I said, touching his hand

"Well they might leave you alone if you were...my girlfriend." He said looking up at me. "A-are you asking?" I asked, but he cut me off. "Im saying we could pretend to be together." He said. Oh....pretend. "Yeah...ok." I said smiling.

So I guess we were together....kinda.
