You're In Danger
Ch 1
"There they go again!" I whispered to Kailey as we leaned against our lockers. Everyday exactly 5 minutes after the final bell, the same 3 guys walked past my locker, and into the janitors closet. "Your putting way to much thought into this. They're probably just doing drugs or something." Said Kailey, not even glancing up from her phone.
I sighed, and picked up my bag. "I got to get home. Bye Kail!" I said. She nodded, not looking up. I swear she was addicted to that stupid phone. I dont think she could live 5 seconds without it.
I climbed into my car, and pulled from the parking lot. I couldn't get those guys off my mind. What did they do in there? Drugs, make out with girls, homework. Ok they definatly didnt do homework. I pulled up to my huge driveway, stopping at the gate.
My parents are famous scientists, so we lived in a huge mansion! Not that Im complaining. It's pretty awesome!! The gate swung open, and I drove through. I parked my car, and saw the nanny playing with Brittany in the front yard.
"Hi Brit!" I called, and she smiled brightly. I love when little kids smile, especially my baby sister. She means the world to me! Especially becuase my parents are hardly ever around. I waved to the nanny of the week. My dad constantly fired and hired. I dont know why. They all seem fine to me.
When I reached my room, I flopped onto my bed to think. After 10 minutes, i just shook my head. I guess I would have to find out. Tomorrow I would listen through the door. I just had to know!!!!
A knock came on my door not long after. A maid came in to tell me my parents would be working late. What's new. That's a regular basis now. I nodded, and she asked what I would like for supper. "Mac and cheese please." I said smiling. She smiled back and left. I was always as polite as possible to the maids. It wasnt like they were servents like how family treats them.
By the time supper came, I had finished my homework. I ate, texted, watched my TV, and eventually climbed into Jammies and crawled into my ginormous bed. Sleep came soon as it always did, and i dreamed of what could be on the other side of the door.
I pounced from my bed the next day, slamming my alarm clock off. I dressed quickly, and only brushed through my hair. I never really did much with it. And grabbed my bag, and money for lunch. My parents had already left for work, and Brittany was sleeping. I had no one to say goodbye to, so i just left.
School dragged by, as I constantly checked the clocks. After what seemed like forever, it was finally lunch. I told Kailey my plan, and for the first time ever she set down her phone. "No." She said plainly, sounding like my mom. "They could be drug dealers or criminals. What if they catch you?" She whispered.
"come with me then. We ll only stand outside the door." I pleaded, not wanting to go alone anyway. She sighed, and nodded saying," there's no way i would let you do this alone. I still think you're being an idiot though." She then picked up her phone. I couldn't wait!!
At the final bell, i rushed to my locker. After a few moments, Kailey joined me, and we waited trying to act natural. At exactly 3:35, we watched them walk past us and into the closet. I started to walk over, but Kailey grabbed my arm. "Another guy comes in a few minutes." She whispered.
I was practically shaking as we waited. Finally a guy with dark black hair strode down the hall, and into the closet. We waited another minute, then silently hurried over.
Pressing our ears to the door, we heard murmur. Suddenly my heart stopped, and i dropped my bag. They had said my name.
