***Avery's POV***
"Look, I guess what I'm tryin' to say is. Avery Jane Miller, will you be my girlfriend?" he said with pleadin eyes.
Was he serious? Why pick me? I'm sure he knows a bunch of models that's much more prettier, sexier, hotter than me.
I honestly didin't know what came over me. I was even too shocked to say anything. I just stared at him -- wide-eyed. His smile later faded, and tears started to fill his eyes.
"I knew I should've kept it a secret. I knew you didn't feel the same way," he started saying with the tears starting to spill.
He got up, and started running away. From me. Stupid me, I didn't even attempt to get up, and chase after him. I just sat there under the apple tree, crying.
After an hour of just laying there, I got a text from Niall, and it said:
Hey, Aves. Or Avery. I suppose you don't want me to call you that now that you know how I feel. Anyway, we're leaving two days from now, and I know you don't to meet up, again. So, goodbye, Avery. -Niall
I just cried even more. He's leaving tomorrow, and I don't get to hug him.
"Avery?" I heard someone said.
I stood up, and looked for the person who said my name. I turned around, expecting to see Niall; but no, it was Jake.
"I've been looking for you," he started walking towards me.
"Well, you've found me," I said while turning back to my original position under the tree. "How'd you know I was here, though?"
He sat beside me, and said, "Well, I know your historywith parks, and your bestfriend. What's his name, again? Uh, Neil?"
I gave him a nervous laugh. "Jake, don't act like you don't know his name. I know you know," I sighed.
"I know. I'm just trying to cheer you up," he said while pinching my right cheek. "Hey, I heard his in town. Why don't you go hang with him?"
I sobbed onto his shoulder.
"Shhh. It's okay, blondie. Tell me what's wrong," he rubbed circled on my back.
"Well, he was here with me, and he kind of.. kind of.." I stuttered.
"He what? Tell me, Avery!" he shook my shoulders with an angry expression. He must have been thinking that he hurt me.
"He confessed his love for me, and asked me to be his girlfriend," I hugged him, and sobbed again.
"That's it?! I thought you loved him? I mean I can still literally remember you telling me how cute he was when yu were young," he said.
"I know. I just don't know what came over me. I just left him there with a shocked expression, and he just walked away thinking I don't like him back. What should I do? He leaves in two days."
"Why don't you go talk to him. That always helps when me and Kieran fight," he replied.
"How? I don't even know where he's staying."
"You have Directioner friends, right?" he said while pointing at me.
I nodded.
"Then go ask them! They'll know for sure!"
"Oh, right! I remember Jass mention about a nearby hotel that One Direction's staying! I have to go now!" I started running, but someone had better ideas.
"Nope! Not now, Avery! Tomorrow! You'll have plently of time," Jake said. His over protective side showing.
"Ugh! Fine," I stomped my way over to his car.
