It's not what you think
10 Monday
My alarm clock broke me from my sleep. I groaned, and threw back my covers. I got dressed in skinny jeans, a yellow t-shirt, a blue hoodie, and my usual converse. I began brushing out my hair and decided to leave it down. I never really did anything to it besides putting it up. Since i never wore makeup, i was all set.
i grabbed my bag, and started my walk to school. My knee was better, although it was marked with a huge bruise. At least i could stand to walk on it now. A light breeze flowed through my hair. Finally i arrived at school, and started down the halls
I reached my locker and pulled out the books for my morning classes. I froze, suddenly getting the sense I was being watched. I looked up and down the hallway, but saw I was alone. I was early, and the hallway was eerily quiet.
I quickly grabbed my remaining things, and decided to wait in the front of the school. I rushe down the hall. When i turned the corner, I stopped so suddenly, I fell onto my butt. There stood Miley with the popular group and Debbie. All with evil smirks on their faces.
My heart pounded, and I remained frozen on the ground. "So Little Miss Kylie is too good to answer texts." Said Debbie's mocking voice. I gulped, not wanting to speak, especially with my stutter. "You remember Friday night?" She asked. My memory flooded with visions of Gatorade and pain. My knee ached as a reminder.
"That was only the beginning." She said, and Miley laughed. I saw the had more Gatorade. What was it with them and Gatorade. I shut my eyes, waiting for the splash. But it didnt come, instead I heard a voice. "Hey what's up!" I opened my eyes, and looked behind me.
There stood a tall smiling brunette. "Wow thats a lot of Gatorade." Shecontinued. What was she doing? She strode over, and took a bottle from Debbie. "You mind?" She asked, then without waiting for an answer took a swig. Her face twisted and she said," EW grape!" Then promptly spit her mouthful into Debbie's face.
Everyone stared in shock. The girl wiped off her mouth and smiled. "You gotta little something." She said. Debbie let out a scream, and marched down the hall followed by her pose and Miley. The girl then walked over to me, and pulled me to my feet.
"Hey! Im Alexis, but I go by Alex." She said. "I-im Kylie, and thanks." I said, still staring at her. A complete stranger had just saved me. "Eh no problem, you looked like you need help, and I've always needed an excuse to spit on Debbie." She said grinning.
We started down the hall together, and before I knew it she was inviting me to lunch. "I gotta run! English starts in 2 minutes and the teacher hates me." She said, then waved, and took off down the hall. I headed towards the math room, but was soon stopped by a hand clamping down on my shoulder.
